Yes folks, thats right. I am blogging on our new deck. I know, I know...you are all anxiously waiting for the pictures. Right?? due to the amount of sarcasm in that statement, i won't be posting the pictures until it warms up. Mainly because I want to take the pictures when it warms up and the flowers are there happy smiling selves. :) Though this deck thing (how it turned out) was really unplanned, i am happy with how it turned out. Except for the fact, we are renters and won't get to take it with us when and if we get our own house. Hopefully we can get a break on rent with the amount we spent fixing it the outside up. I planted the bushes and flowers and bulbs and set up the edgeing stones and mulched. Looks fabuloso.
Pray for Damon and me. We are giving the devotion this wednesday night. Damon says the topic a living sacrifice has been on his mind. So, I am trying to think/pray on what the Lord would have me to say in the devotion. I am normally the outspoken leader type role in our relationship when it comes to doing church stuff. disclaimer, I do not rule the roost so don't get any ideas in your heads. I am just saying I have the get up and go take on anything personality when it comes to church projects...I say all that to say this...:) that I really want him to LEAD this devotion. I want him to take on the main part of it and go with it. He has such a tender heart and a sweet almost childlike spirit towards the Lord. I love that about him. I am so blessed by God to have a husband like I do. I could never have picked any one better, nor could I have dreamed that my life would turn out like this. The heartaches and hard times of marriage, the being away from family, it is ALL hard...but to have a love in my life EVERY DAY that some people only get to dream of, well...THAT my friends is amazing. And I am thankful. I am not being mushy, I am being truthful. Marriage is hard sometimes, but when God is in the husband and wife, ultimately the marriage is in HIM and it is a beautiful thing.
The Easter dinner turned out wonderful, despite the fact my foot ached from having been on it almost all day on Saturday from cooking and working outside. I have to say it was a total success. And I have turned Damons family onto a new recipe from my family, waldorf salad. My deendee (grandma) made it. YUM-O. Has apples (cut small), mini marshmallows, golden raisins, walnuts, and miracle whip. You may say that sounds gross, but my friends you need to try. It is super yummy. I just had this thought, I want another Beverly Lewis book, I read all of mine. Back on subject. I found out what happened with my song Sunday (to those of you who were there that read my blog) I have some CD Tracks that I use track #4 with...well for some reason I forgot that fact that I use track 1 with this song and well...told them to use track 4. So, that is why I had a hard time. I normally sing it in the high version but somehow managed to sing the low version. I know the Lord had to help me, even though it started out horrible, because thats a lot of space to jump on a song and I don't think I can normally do it. So thanks Jesus.
Well, this is me, signing off. :)

muy frio
tell me how it went from 80 degrees on wednesday (i think) to 40 something on Saturday. BRRRRRRRRRR. At night its in the low 20's. This is april! It is so cold.
I should have taken before pictures. before pictures of the space where we are building our new deck and doing our landscaping. We originally started out building a small deck with some wood from Damons moms house, where he tore down a ramp. well, that turned into..we need a bigger space. which turned into lowes and lots of wood aka lots of money. BUT, we will surely enjoy it. I got all of my bushes and flowers to put in. The only thing I need to buy still are my herbs for my herb garden, my strawberry plants, tomato plants, grape vine, possibly a raspberry patch (the golden raspberries). I might try to do lettuce as well. I need to buy some miracle grow too. my grandpa used miracle grow a lot and his garden was amazing.
Anyway, getting off here now. need to pay a bill and start dinner for tomorrow. I am making the rolls today. I found a new recipe i want to try, they are cottage cheese rolls. I found the recipe in my taste of home magazine. I really like that publication. I subscribed and need to renew, I really enjoy the new recipes. Well, HAPPY EASTER! Jesus loves and died for all of us.

Crazy Kitty
My cat...*sigh* is so funny! He has been chasing his ball (with the bell in it) for about 10-20 minutes. He will pick it up and carry it in his mouth like its some sort of prize, weirdo.
Found a cool saying... "My life helps paint my neighbor’s picture of God."
You know, regardless of my failure...my weaknesses, I want to make it to Heaven and I want to take as many as I can with me. I want to be able to give up fleshly things, if need be. If it comes right down to it I want to be able to to stand for the Lord and make it, whatever it may be. I want to stand for the Lord every day. To show His Love. Some days I feel as if I am so off the mark, God help me during these times and every day. I love Him, He has done soooo much for me. Let me ever worship and praise You Lord. You are my Peace, my Sanity, my Happiness!
Have a good day!

My fingers HURT!
Man, gardening...or shall I say WEEDING is hard work!! There are so many gross things in the dirt or shadows of Tennessee turf. YUCK. I touched a snail lookin thing (the squishy part), termites, a worm...YUCK. YUCK YUCK YUCK! I may be a country girl, and be able to handle numerous sorts of things that gross many other people out, but I do NOT do worms of any sort, or slugs, or snails. TO THINK people eat snails and its a delicacy. GUH-ROSS! I moved a bunch of our left over landscaping rocks, which are heavy and now my wittle fingers hurt. You know, when I lived in Idaho I worked outside with my horses and stuff so i had rough and calloused hands. Now, I am soft handed, and this hurts! WAAAHHHH. This coming Friday, I HOPE to go and get all of our bushes/trees and flowers. Oh and mulch too. I need to make this place look pretty, not to pretty though, cus pretty cost money. Money that can be a little or a lot, and for a place I dont own it doesn't need to be a lot. Get what I'm sayin!!
This morning, I got up and made my hubby and nephew pancakes and bacon for breakfast. Turkey bacon, YUM! I even used heart healthy pancake mix. GO ME! You know, minute made has the best OJ aside from fresh squeezed of course.
I took Friday off and didnt get up until almost 10am...wooooh that was so nice! Then I went to lunch with Damon, then I came home and looked at some stuff on my computer. I also mowed our neighbors yard. Damon used to have about 10-12 lawns he mowed every couple of weeks, but has trimmed down to two. The one next door and one just a bit down the road. They are so close, we decided (he decided) to keep them. I had the hardest time getting the weed eater started. Which baffeled me, as it is always very easy to start. I have used it several times...silly little me had it in off position!!! I guess it must have been left in the on position and I didn't know it and turned it to the off position thinking I was turning it on. So there I was pulling, choking on, then off, re pulling. which by this time I was reallly tired and grossly sweaty. I know yall needed to know that. But this lawn has a very steep ditch embankment that I have to push mow. I am not remotely in shape so you know how easy THAT was. I got it done though. We were given a gift certificate to Long Horn by LaDonna for our anniversary so we went there last night. I had gotten the GC as a silent auction item to raise mission money and ladonna bought it then gave it to us. I had the renegade steak with mashed potatoes and a salad. YUM-OOO I took a picture of my steak and sent it to my dad on his phone. I ordered it medium plus...which isnt medium well, but a bit more than medium. It was beyond pink and a bit bloody. I thought my daddy would be proud of me since he eats his rare (I can't do that)so I sent him a pic. I called him though to let him know and he said "what is it" I had to explain...lol!!!
hmmm........I need to make banana bread today and cookies for tomorrow. Not to mention clean this house. I was thinking of doing some deep spring cleaning, howeer after that monster of a flower bed, I think I will simply clean thoroughly than deeply. I had thought about getting on my hands and knees and scrubbing my floor, contemplating that one now. see yall later.

Our Anniversary...
Damon took me on my long awaited anniversary trip today. He wouldn't tell me where, wanted it to be a surprise. I got very close, but didn't guess it until we were pulling in the parking lot of....Dixie land stampede!!! Yee haw! It was great! I had so much fun and I thank the Lord, TRULY, for a wonderful wonderful husband. I love him so much, and as a song says, i could not ask for more. Without the Lord in Damon and I's life, we would be a wreck. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God is the reason for the success of our marriage and the help through our ups and downs. Thank you God for Damon and letting me experience what real love is through Your Son Jesus Christ and through my husband that You gave to me.
If you would, please pray for me....I have a long day tomorrow. I am wore out with a bad headache right now. I feel somewhat woozy. My ankles have been swelling up. It's because I need to lose weight I am sure. I go to the doctor Monday, I am somewhat of a hypochondriac (sp?) but it's been bothering me. I have been stressing lately, and my blood pressure is up. Which is further bothering me. I am 24 years old, and I am suffering the consequences of my lack of ability/desire to stay healthy. I dont have the signs of diabetese in my opinion, but I sure dont want heart disease. Back to this weekend, today as you read above, has been a rush. We drove up this morning and back this evevning and I need to leave the house tomorrow morning at 630 am. BTW pardon my lack of punctuation or capatilzation....its late..i need to be in bed. Please pray the pancake breakfast will go well, with much support.
I also ask you to say a prayer for my kitty. He keeps fighting, and it bugs me. He is fixed and STILL fights and sometimes its pretty bad. Tonight he came it and it had been a bad fight that I had to stop myself. For some reason my scaredy pants cat(who AVOIDS confrontation like the plague...most times) decides to ATTACK tigger (the one who has been fighting)and go psycho on us. I have NEVER seen him do that. I could not keep him away from Tigger. Finally we got them separated and I am scratched up a bit...anyway, i really wish Tigger would stop fighting. So, I know God cares about this, because I do. If you dont mind, among everything else you pray...small as it is...say a prayer for tigger to quit.
love you guys, g'night

Create IN ME a CLEAN Heart
That is the song in my mind as I woke up this morning (two or three times). Truly I LOVE the Lord and I want to be a completely pure vessel before Him. Pray for the pancake breakfast this Sunday. If you are in the Middle TN area and want to come get a big breakfast for 3 buckaroos, head over to TCOG in Antioch. I had an excellent day on Tuesday, our anniversary. Damon dedicated an email to me on the local Christian radion station here. Well, I guess that is what you call it. He sent the hosts an email telling them about me and us and how much he loved me on this our 3rd anniversary. Then they played a song for us, about love coming from the Lord. They went on and on about is and it truly made me feel special. I appreciate most the closeness of the Lord that day. It felt wonderful to be free and uplifted in my soul. So thank You God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost for Your blessings and comfort.
Hope everyone has a gut day today. haha...gut is from the books I am reading. I guess that is dutch for good.
see ya

I have so so so much to be thankful for. I don't want to be a grumbler or complainer. Just, if you see this....please say a prayer for me today. I really need all the sunshine I can handle.
Thanks.

P.S. Tomorrow is Damon and me's 3 year anniversary.

There's a line in a Bebo Norman song that I love, "because He is and He was and He will be forever... God my God, I cry out...your beloved needs you now" Where would I be without God? IN A MESS! I truly would be in a mess. I was raised a "Christian" brought up morally correct, taught respect, but I wasn't saved. There's a difference between being "born" Christian and really being one. To be a real Christian means you reflect Christ. The beauty of Christ is He was and is the Son of God, He was perfect. We are His creation, but not perfect. That doesn't enable us to have an excuse, it simply means we have hope by our God and our Savior to change...daily...from what we are- more and more reflecting WHO he is. A real Christian- to be Christ like. Jesus is the Windex and the Reflection, I am simply the mirror. He cleans me, so that when I look in that mirror of my soul I see Him and only Him. I remember who I was back then- I can't change then but I can change now and every moment that is to come in my life. Jesus cleaned this ugly mouth up, He made me realize my ultimate Joy is in Him and my ultimate grief can be given to Him. Do you know how much easier it is to face this thing called life when Jesus takes your burdens. Goodness sakes I wish I could make people see. It's so different! I am happy I am not the same old Kasey, I am a new Kasey who is daily changing. I want His reflection to shine perfectly. Right now, I am far from being streak free, but I am trying and God knows that. He enables me to live sin free and to work on all of my many faults. If I can leave you with one parting thought...Choose God, you won't regret it in Heaven.

Good Grief Charlie Brown
I haven't posted since Sunday!! I am so bad. So I been kinda busy....I do have that excuse. Wednesday was waaaaaaaaaay busy. I was home a total of 10-15 minutes on Wednesday from the hours of 7:30am to 10:30 pm. Long day.
Don't steal my idea, but Kohls is haveing a night owls/early bird sale this weekend. They are having a BIG sale on down alternative comforters. ALL sizes 19.99 including bonus pillow(s)normally priced 119.99-139.99...if we can come up with the money without breaking the bank I am so there! I have wanted one of those for a LONG time. I would get real down, but with damon's asthma it might not be a good thing.
Well, the vacation plans are somewhat laid down. My parents will fly in Saturday night, we will go to church on Sunday morning then head up to chattanooga. We will stay in a hotel that night while hopefully getting in some attractions in the afternoon and a carriage ride in the evening. The next morning we will go see some more chattanooga attractions then head up to the smokys to our cabin. Haven't decided which one yet though. Will be up there til' Thursday then head home that evening. Friday we will take in a lunch cruise on the General jackson and hit the opry that night...that is if anyone good is playing. They will fly back Saturday. I wish so badly I could move home, more than most will understand. Only unless you have been or are in my position would you understand. However, I am content to rest in God's will and to be honest...choosing to be mad/sad/whatever about it all the time stinks. I can choose to be happy and live for right now, because truly God holds tomorrow.
I think we have found a home for Rosie THANK the Lord! Pray for a doggy named Jake now....he needs a good home. I wont say more cus' my mom reads and she will cry. He's not being harmed and he's being fed, he just needs to be adopted soon!
What else is goin on...I just bought a five book set by Beverly Williams called Abrams Daughter's. Its pretty cool! On sale for 28.99 too! On her website it was 50 something!!
We don't have cable and I am somewhat liking it but I miss food network...specially the 4:00 to 5:00 hour. Doesn't matter I am not home during that time now anyways. We have been watching my season 2 of little house on the prairie. I really like that show, you have nothing to worry about!
See ya...my husbands stomach calls :) It's buffalo chicken and that man LOVES buff chicken!

Prayer for vacation
I need prayer...it is not silly because God cares about everything I care about. My parents are coming down in June. I am SUPER excited!!!!!!!!!!! However I am having trouble finding a way to make everyone happy. We are going to Gatlinburg and I want to stay longer than damon does, I want to find a cabin on the water...sigh. My dad needs to see and do things, he thinks there isn't much to do in Nashville so I need to show him a good time WHILE in nashville. Suggestions, prayers. I really want my parents to have a good time, while keeping Damon happy. Not that he's hard to keep happy, but you know...just make everyone happy. Pray for me, i love you Jesus and thank you for all you did for me and continue to do!!

What happened?
What happened to me and every other BORING blogger out there. Not meaning to be a downer, but the action has definitely slowed down. I have been trying to get better and blog more often.
Good morning everyone. I love that spring is here. For some reason winter seemed WAY long. Spring welcome home sunshine!!!
Don't laugh, but I want to take a road trip and visit all of the Laura ingalls historic sights. I also want to go to the beach. HINT *anniversary in 12 days* :p Oh my goodness...I have been married almost three years. WOW. Time flys when you are having fun! I actually wouldn't mind taking a big road trip, going to a lot of the places I have never been. I want to go to Maine. During Lobster Fest.
I really need to go get ready for work. If you think about it, pray for me today. Work has been stressful, for some odd reason the distrct decided to plan 3 committees during assessment and testing time. It's CRAZY! I have to keep the lists for my two bosses and plan catering and just all sorts of stuff, it's hard to keep straight.
Damon likes his truck...I do too. It rides and drives nice. You know the new vehicles are nice...but 88-95ish fords suuuure are comfy. Much more comfy. I know I am a 4 wheel drive or nothin kind of girl, but my mom had a 82' pickup when I was in high school that she bought from my aunt's dad, he had bought it new and it only had 82k miles on it(i think) that truck was GREAT!! It pulled my loaded horse trailer BETTER than my 4 wheel drive 3/4 ton pickup. Not that you all care....okay. Ending this piece of information.
We are trying to decide between a Costco membership and a Sam's club membership. Costco is what I am familiar with, it has been in Idaho since I think I was a kid. we visited it last night to look around. I want to join there....Damon likes sams club because its $10 cheaper.
Have a good morning.

WOW!! Now THAT's a prayer!
You know, normally when you get a forward about God, at the end there is some cheesy saying that if you pass this on to so many people you will be blessed this way or that way and if you don't then your life is ruined! But the prayer at the end of this story I can TOTALLY agree with! Thanks Katie M! This prayer totally encouraged me and blessed me and LIFTED me up! May you be encouraged as well!
Prayer follows story!
This story was written by a doctor who worked in South Africa.
One night I had worked hard to help a mother in the labor ward; but in spite of all we could do, she died leaving us with a tiny premature baby and a crying two-year-old daughter. We would have difficulty keeping the baby alive, as we had no incubator (we had no electricity to run an incubator).
We also had no special feeding facilities. Although we lived on the equator, nights were often chilly with treacherous drafts. One student midwife went for the box we had for such babies and the cotton wool that the baby would be wrapped in.
Another went to stoke the fire and fill a hot water bottle. She came back shortly in distress to tell me that in filling the bottle, it had burst (rubber perishes easily in tropical climates). "And it is our last hot water bottle!" she exclaimed. As in the West, it is no good crying over spilled milk, so in Central Africa it might be considered no good crying over burst water bottles. They do not grow on trees, and there are no drugstores down forest pathways.
"All right," I said, "put the baby as near the fire as you safely can, and sleep between the baby and the door to keep it free from drafts. Your job is to keep the baby warm."
The following afternoon, as I did most days, I went to have prayers with any of the orphanage children who chose to gather with me. I gave the youngsters various suggestions of things to pray about and told them about the tiny baby. I explained our problem about keeping the baby warm enough, mentioning the hot water bottle, and that the baby could so easily die if it got chills. I also told them of the two-year-old sister, crying because her mother had died.
During prayer time, one ten-year old girl, Ruth, prayed with the usual blunt consciousness of our African children. "Please, God" she prayed, "send us a water bottle. It'll be no good tomorrow, God, as the baby will be dead, so please send it this afternoon."While I gasped inwardly at the audacity of the prayer, she added, "And while You are about it, would You please send a dolly for the little girl so she'll know You really love her?"
As often with children's prayers, I was put on the spot. Could I honestly say, "Amen"? I just did not believe that God would do this. Oh, yes, I know that He can do everything, the Bible says so. But there are limits, aren't there? The only way God could answer this particular prayer would be by sending me a parcel from my homeland. I had been in Africa for almost four years at that time, and I had never, ever received a parcel from home.
Anyway, if anyone did send me a parcel, who would put in a hot water bottle? I lived on the equator! Halfway through the afternoon, while I was teaching in the nurses' training school, a message was sent that there was a car at my front door.
By the time I reached home, the car had gone, but there, on the veranda, was a large twenty-two pound parcel. I felt tears pricking my eyes. I could not open the parcel alone, so I sent for the orphanage children.
Together we pulled off the string, carefully undoing each knot. We folded the paper, taking care not to tear it unduly. Excitement was mounting. Some thirty or forty pairs of eyes were focused on the large cardboard box. >From the top, I lifted out brightly colored, knitted jerseys. Eyes sparkled as I gave them out Then there were the knitted bandages for the leprosy patients, and the children looked a little bored. Then came a box of mixed raisins and sultanas - that would make a batch of buns for the weekend.
Then, as I put my hand in again, I felt the.....could it really be? I grasped it and pulled it out - yes, a brand-new, rubber hot water bottle. I cried. I had not asked God to send it; I had not truly believed that He would. Ruth was in the front row of the children. She rushed forward, crying out, "If God has sent the bottle, He must have sent the dolly too!"
Rummaging down to the bottom of the box, she pulled out the small, beautifully dressed dolly. Her eyes shone! She had never doubted!
Looking up at me, she asked: "Can I go over with you and give this dolly to that little girl, so she'll know that Jesus really loves her?"
That parcel had been on the way for five whole months. Packed up by my former Sunday school class, whose leader had heard and obeyed God's prompting to send a hot water bottle, even to the equator. And one of the girls had put in a dolly for an African child - five months before, in answer to the believing prayer of a ten-year-old to bring it "that afternoon."
"Before they call, I will answer" (Isaiah 65:24) This awesome prayer takes less than a minute. When you receive this, say the prayer,... that's all you have to do. No strings attached. Just send it on to whomever you want - but do send it on. Prayer is one of the best free gifts we receive. There is no cost but a lot of rewards.
Let's continue praying for one another...
Father, I ask you to bless my friends reading this right now. I am asking You to minister to their spirit at this very moment. Where there is pain, give them Your peace and mercy. Where there is self doubting, release a renewed confidence to work through them. Where there is tiredness or exhaustion, I ask You to give them understanding, guidance, and strength as they learn submission to Your leading. Where there is spiritual stagnation, I ask You to renew them by revealing Your nearness, and by drawing them into greater intimacy with You. Where there is fear, reveal Your love, and release to them Your courage. Where there is a sin blocking them, reveal it, and break its hold over the lives of my friends.
Bless their finances, give them greater vision, and raise up leaders and friends to support and encourage them. Give each of them discernment to recognize the evil forces around them, and reveal to them the power they have in You to defeat it. I ask you to do these things in Jesus' name.
P.S. Passing this on to anyone you consider a friend will bless you both. Passing this on to one not considered a friend is something Christ would do.
"Do not ask the Lord to guide your footsteps if you're not willing to move your feet."

at home
I am at home right now. I had a dentist appointment today, to get a cleaning. No cavities!!! YAY! I need to head back soon. My house is clean right now and I am liking it!! I don't want yall to think I am a slob, but when I think clean I think vaccummed, dusted, bathroom cleaned, mopped, swept, laundry done and folded! I have one load to fold, one in dryer drying and one washing. Currently there is NOTHING in my hamper. WOOHOO! I been sweeping and resweeping my fresh kitchen floor. I need to vaccuum again though. But it is still picked up and looks tidy. I have the dishes put away but a small load in the sink to do. I just changed the litter box too, yum.:X
Rosie is gone, don't know where she went. I am wondering if she had puppies. Gina said she looked pregnant. She was frisky and hyper though. She is one sweet pitbull, and I feel sorry for this breed that is so cruelly used, and so unjustly incriminated. Anyway. I am having a pretty good day today. The Lord is good, and I want Him happy in all things about me. I want to please him wholly, and holy! :)
bye

Thanks...
...to the Lord!!! I got a big blessing at church tonight and I am happy! In the voice from the mouse on barnyard..."weeeeee!"
On another note...I have another dog for yall to pray for. Long story....she is from the same owners of the starving puppy...which I don't know if I shared, but looks GREAT!!! Well...this dog was loose this morning. The people haven't been home all day long and the other dog that was back there with it is gone now. I am wondering if they have moved and left the dog. I used to think she was mean. She's pitbull, but she is the sweetest dog, I feel really sorry for her. She hates sticks, she gets scared. She loves to play ball and she likes to chase cats. I named her Rosie. I tried to take her over to their house...she started to go over there with me and stopped and would not go any further. She loves attention. Her back bone is showing, but I gave her food and water. I am hoping she's not pregnant. I am gonna call the pound tomorrow if her owners aren't back. People are mean to pitbulls and I am scared a neighbor will try to hurt her. I made a temporary dog house for her tonight and gave more food and water. I think if I call the pound they will just put her to sleep because she is an aggressive breed. She is so so sweet. If I had land in the country I would probably take her and make her a guard dog or something. But I can't do that. Just pray that a good solution will work out for Rosie. tonight
was great. I told 4 people that Jesus loved them, three received well and one was kinda brushing me off. I think I told 4, not that the number counts. If you new my worries you would understand. I worry about witnessing among other things, that someone is gonna goto hell because of me and that I didn't tell them. That I missed my opportunity. Tonight as i was walking out of walmart with groceries and cleaning supplies (told you I was gonna clean tomorrow) I felt light as a feather. I was HAPPY. I could have flew like a bird. I had a spring in my step and a smile on my face. Damon brought his new payment free truck home. Its pretty nice and he says he would he perfectly content to drive it and sell his truck with the payment. I am happy for him. We drove it around, was a nice evening. I had subway for dinner. Then I started to get ready for bed, and started worrying. pray for me.

kitty sick
My kitty has to go to the vet today.:( He has a bump on the side of him that is VERy sensitive. He growels and hisses at me if I touch him. I was just trying to investigate, when you don't have the money honey you become the vet. Which i have done many times. Nothin like peroxide, water, and tender loving care. That won't work in this case however. I don't feel like getting my hand clawed and bitten off, because whatever it is...he won't let me near enough to fix.
I tried to sew a dress last night, it was a failure. Not because I can't sew, but I didn't use a pattern and I don't have the space I need (cleared already) to cut. So it ended up being off. I am going to try to make a skirt out of it now though.
damon should be settling up with the insurance today, please if you read this, pray. My poor baby was so mad yesterday that he could "spit nails". I understand to some degree. Anyway, he is using the money to buy a truck tht he is hoping will be a good driver and he sale the one he still has a payment on. Thus enabling us to get a house. YAY. Although, I am soooo sentimental that I dont like getting rid of vehicles. they become a part of the family. *sigh*
I had a better night last night. Many don't know but I have been having a time with my mind for that last 3-4 months. Some days are good, some bad, but by the grace of God i still stand. I am fighting and praying, and I can say one thing, all of this has brought me closer to God.
tonight will be vet night, and grocery shopping night, tomorrow is house cleaning. I LOOOOVe it when my house is neat and clean and in its place. However That only lasts for a couple of days. The rest of the week I just try to keep it picked up. TOMORROW though, little dust bunnies, you better RUN! I found some great clothes online, www.modestapparelusa.com. I reall like them, for some of the stuff I am looking for. I want to try to make some of my own clothes too. Yea I still want to be fashionable and all that, but I can sew fashion too. Mainly I need to lose some weight first. sigh, but i digress.
peace homies (thats my saying at work to all the older ladies and pretty much anyone else in the office, which are all educated dignified people...hahaha)

say a little prayer for her....
the her is me. Say a little prayer for me. I am ready for the SUNSHINE, or better yet SONSHINE!
My tummy hurts. Yuck. I need to get ready for work, I have been thinking about going to college again. There's this lady at work who is looking into all this stuff for me. She says I am to young and have to much going for me to not go. However, my dream has always been to have one of three things...be a pro barrel racer (not gonna happen unless suddenly rodeos aren't on Sunday and they make a Christian environment the norm), be a singer for a living (don't wanna do that now, because I am afraid my focus would be taken off the Lord and B. I don't look the "look:) c, be a mommy and house wife. I CAN do that! So...and i am totally a home body. I would be content not working or even being the total soccer mom thing and working pt at the library, ooooh aaaah! :) Actually, I found out yesterday that you can work as a sub. teacher in Rutherford and Wilson county WITHOUT any college. Something to keep in mind. In Davidson you have to have 60 hours of credit.
I want to be content in whatsoever state I am in. My goal is firstly to honor my hubby, secondly to be a knowledgable wife who's decisions make sense. I have about 4.7 more years on my car loan, I am thinking of either selling it when possible or working really hard to pay it off. I want to be able to stay home without a strain on damon. Two car payments doesn't allow me to do that. And, I realize right now, we don't have kids, i don't HAVE to stay home right now. I WANT to stay home when we do have kids. I would LOVE to. So, I will be a help meet, the help meet he needs right now and work. My dream...envision a 1940's housewife hair coiffed, dress pressed, house clean, fresh apple pie sitting on stove waiting to melt in mouth, dinner on set table and johhny and emma waiting with expectant smiles as daddy comes through the door. Welcome home honey, (takes jacket, kisses on cheek) how was your day! Did I forget the white picket fence? Wait, no picket fence, just enough land to have my horse in the back ready for me to hop on and go for a country stroll!
okay, now i realllllly need to get ready. Goodbye everyone. May the Lord bless you and keep you and make His face to shine upon you.

tomorrow
we are heading out for couples retreat tomorrow after i get home from work. Keep us in your prayers, it will be a long dark drive.
Please remember Damon in your prayers as well, his back seems to be getting progressively (though slowly) worse (from the accident). We reached a settlement on the truck today, but still need to deal with medical bills. He is getting kind of worried about his back. If its not better by Monday, I think the Doc's want him to come in. Just say a prayer, God is a healing God and I KNOW it.
Speaking about my Jesus, I love Him and I appreciate Him and He is there for me ALWAYS! I will NOT be discouraged by the enemy!!! I hate the devil, and I will SHOUT that from all rooftops! God has done so much for me and for my life. He is God, He gives and He takes away...blessed be the name of the Lord.
I need to pack still...I have a headache and just feel blah, I been going through some stuff lately and need some prayers, I will make it but I need all the prayers I can get. Pray for: ALL unsaved loved ones, Damon, Our trip, The Church of God, Bradley, Erika, and.....my cousin...she's pregnant with her first baby. Oh and Mage, you don't know her, but pray for her! love and prayers everyone- Kasey

Wreck
I want to PUBLICLY thank the Lord for keeping us safe. We were involved in a wreck tonight coming home on Shute's Lane. It was approximately 7:30 and we were two miles from home. It was starting to get pretty bad, and I had just told Damon to be careful(because I was nervous). I had the thought, most wrecks occur within ten minutes of home. Well, we saw headlights coming across the line at us. He apparently had started to fishtale and lost control, he said he was coming head on and just shut his eyes (the guy who hit us). Damon, turned the wheel to the right and we were side swiped pretty bad. If he hadn't have turned the wheel it would have been head on. Jesus DEFINITELY took the wheel. Damon's truck is pretty much totaled and both vehicles had to be towed. Damon said if he had hit us head on and he hadn't turned the wheel (the LORD turned the wheel and we both know it!) that it would have been bad for both of us. No telling how bad the injuries COULD have been. But they WEREN'T! We were in his old truck that we had been slowly fixing up. It's kind of a bummer, because it is so bad now...we probably would be wasting our money to even try to fix it. They think there might be frame damage. Miraculously, no one needed an amubulance. I don't have any other explanation for it being such a serious wreck-and no injuries, than the LORD!
Another praise report, we are getting a REFUND on our taxes too! WOOHOO! This has been a hard and blessed day....weird. Thank You Jesus.

new pic of me

I was feeling hot with my newly slicked straight hair. So, in the middle of monday morning traffic (how smart am I) with my camera phone, taking pictures of myself. Sepia tone. I thought I looked pretty. Amazing what sepia can do for a person. Damon says I look like Lisa Marie Presley, whom he thinks is ugly. Yet he says I am pretty. Make sense?? NOOOO :) I believe him though.
man, three posts, two days...GOO MEE! I am on a roll. I am considering changing to Live Journal,i just don't know if I can say bye bye to blogger though. I am attached.
As for good news my finger is doing much better though still store and somewhat blue. Damon took me out to dinner tonight AND gave me money and told me to spend it however I wanted. WHOA. I asked why, he said because he loves me. AWWWWWWW My husband has come so far, and I as his wife hope I have come just as far for him. We are working together and thank the Lord for the wonderful man He gave me. That is a daily blessing in itself. Bro Hall gave us some advice, and I think it's working, whenever we get huffy at each other we need to stop, drop, and pray. Well, he didnt exactly say it like that, but I thought it sounded clever. He said when we have a disagreement to pray together. It has helped.
V day is ALMOST here. YAY
I am doing the Bible in one year thing, from the tract that the Church puts out. I am about a month behind because I just started and this is February not January. But I am trying.
We get paid Friday, YEE HAW!
on a final note, i bought a straightener for my hair today. Along with the spray mist that megan recommended that i believe joey recommended to her. I also bought some silk something or other for my hair. Wendy, what did you say about gifts for the party this weekend?

ouch!

I musta jammed my finger. My post will be short as I am finally figuring out that typing is hard to do with a taped up pointer finger. How did I jam/hurt my finger you ask?...catching bro steve's pass (that megan tried to interfere with :p )during a game of basketball to fast paced for a fat outa shape person. :) Working on the fat and outa shape part though. I hope I worked off some serious caloriage! On my parting note...I leave you with this!

I am so bad
at blogging. Seems like when I get home in the evening I am so busy, and then it is time to go to bed. I don't look on the internet to much at work either, thus I can't post from there anymore.
I need to update my blog, I am over with the beach theme thing....sigh
Please pray I sell my car. I will make my payment tomorrow and see what the balance is. I am just trying to sell it for what I owe. I will miss my car if it goes, this may sound weird...but I get somewhat...attached. Like it has feelings. I am gonna be sad. My first BRAND new car, GONE. But I WANT an expedition! I can haul 8 people. We could have SIX kids....lololololol. JUST kidding. I only want that many if God says so. Otherwise. TWO.
Well time to go to work. See ya'll lata gatahs!

I got this in email form from Jaclyn, its GOOD
WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT DEATH
>
> Death is certain but the Bible speaks about untimely death! Make a
>personal reflection about this. Very interesting, read until the end.
> It is written in the Bible (Galatians 6:7): "Be not deceived; God is not
>mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."
> Here are some men and women who mocked God:
>
>JOHN LENNON: Some years before, during his interview with an American
>Magazine, he said: "Christianity will end, it will disappear. I do not
>have to argue about that. I am certain. Jesus was ok, but his subjects
>were too simple, today we are more famous than Him" (1966). Lennon, after
>saying that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ, was shot six
>times.
>
>TANCREDO NEVES (President of Brazil ): During the Presidential campaign, he
>said if he got 500,000 votes from his party, not even God would remove him
>from Presidency. Sure he got the votes, but he got sick a day before being
>made President, then he died.
>
>CAZUZA (Bi-sexual Brazilian composer, singer and poet): During a show in
>Canecï¯ ( Rio de Janeiro ), whilst smoking his cigarette, he puffed out
>some smoke into the air and said: "God, that's for you." He died at the
>age of 32 of AIDS in a horrible manner.
>
>THE MAN WHO BUILT THE TITANIC: After the construction of the Titanic, a
>reporter asked him how safe the Titanic would be. With an ironic tone he
>said: "Not even God can sink it" The result: I think you all know what
>happened to the Titanic.
>
>MARILYN MONROE: She was visited by Billy Graham during a presentation of a
>show. He said the Spirit of God had sent him to preach to her. After
>hearing what the Preacher had to say, she said: "I don't need your Jesus".
>A week later, she was found dead in her apartment.
>
>BON SCOTT: The ex-vocalist of the AC/DC. On one of his 1979 songs he sang:
>"Don't stop me, I'm going down all the way, down the highway to hell". On
>the 19th of February 1980 , Bon Scott was found dead, he had been choked by
>his own vomit.
>
>CAMPINAS/SP IN 2005: In Campinas, Brazil a group of friends, drunk, went to
>pick up a friend. The mother accompanied her to the car and was so worried
>about the drunkenness of her friends and she said to the daughter - holding
>her hand, who was already seated in the car: "MY DAUGHTER, GO WITH GOD AND
>MAY HE PROTECT YOU." She responded: "ONLY IF HE (GOD) TRAVELS IN THE TRUNK,
>CAUSE INSIDE HERE IT'S ALREADY FULL". Hours later, news came by that they
>had been involved in a fatal accident, everyone had died, the car could not
>be recognized what type of car it had been, but surprisingly, the trunk was
>intact. The police said there was no way the trunk could have remained
>intact. To their surprise, inside the trunk was a crate of eggs, none were
>broken.
>
>CHRISTINE HEWITT: A Jamaican Journalist and entertainer, said the Bible
>(Word of God) was the worst book ever written, in June 2006 she was found
>burnt beyond recognition in her motor vehicle.
>
>Many more important people have forgotten that there is no other name that
>was given so much authority as the name of Jesus. Many have died, but only
>Jesus died and rose again, and he is still alive. JESUS!!!
>
>"What benefit does it have, if a man gains the whole world but loses his
>soul? What can man give in exchange of his soul?" (Matthew 16:26). AMEN

Okay okay
I am posting.
Done pouting, or atleast for now.
I am loving my job, and think I FINALLY found a right fit. I work at the Metro Schools Board as Sr. Clerk in Learning Support Services under the Math and Science Department. Basically I am a secretary. :)
My family will be here in June and I am TOOOOOO excited. Hopefully we will be going to lots of wonderful places and having lots of wonderful times!
Guess what?! Damon saw that little puppy I talked about here about a month ago that was really emaciated. He said he couldn't see any bones any more! YAY JESUS Thanks if you prayed.
Meg and I are sposed to be doing something this weekend and I need to call Morgie too. Plus I have a three day weekend. You know what I find ironic...Metro schools considers MLK day a holiday, but we don't get president's day off?! That so does NOT make sense to me. We can take a holiday for who truly was a great man and did many things for the African American race and several other races, but we don't take a holiday to remember the founding fathers/leaders of our country?! HELLO! *steps off soap box*
Well, my husband will not stop tormenting me,so I am gonna get off here now.

This last week in revue
Exhales....
Time always flies when I am at home. I wish it would go slower.
Most importantly I must make this announcment. BSU WON THE FIESTA BOWL! GO BRONCOS! That my team yo! And we were the "under dog" HA!
Secondly...I took Damon SKIING! You heard me right, the boy went skiing, IN SNOW, for the first time. He was pretty good, except he couldn't figure out how to stop so he would just fall over if he felt out of control. Unfortunately, I got hit one of those time. My head hurt on that one. Fat people are just NOT supposed to bend that way. When your legs are attached to something that comes up behind your head...it just does NOT feel right. We are thinking of going to Gatlinburg for valentines to do some more skiing. :) Atleast I HINTED that it would be fun!
My fam is thinking of coming to TN this summer, I hope they do, that would be soooo awesome. We are thinking of going to Gatlinburg for a week. I think my Grandma and Grandpa might come a week early and go to Fanfare. My Gma wants to see some country music stars.
Christmas was fun, but unfortunately while out in Idaho I got a UTI and had to go to Urgent care...I hate those things. My deendee is doing good, my family is doing good, my cousins are doing good. Troy looks good, I appreciate all the prayers. I was given the opportunity to talk to him in person Monday (christmas)night. It was good.
I started my new job today. It went pretty good. I had a headache by the end of the day, but I was welcomed with a VERY warm welome. IT was nice. They clapped and shouted for me. It was neato.
In a great surprise my mommy sent me home a surprise I found in my suitcase as I unpacked yesterday. While shopping I found this TOTALLY cute Tommy sweater. It was tooo pretty and classic. It was orignally 89 dollars but it was on clearance and i thought would be to small. I decided not to get it even at the neato price, and guess what my mommy got it for me. IT ROCKS AND FITS AND I got compliments.
I am starting my diet...I have a goal. This is for me and for my husband. He deserves better, and so do I.

Merry Christmas
I hope everyone is having a Merry Christmas!
I needed to update on something else with Delta. They paid for honey's ticket ROUNDTRIP. We didn't have to pay a dime! The guy said because we were in such a jolly mood, regardless of the difficulties, he was going to take care of the dog the whole way! So...THANK YOU JESUS. I was so bummed and God worked this out in a way I NEVER would have imagined. I know this may sound silly, but one of the things I wanted to do in life was to fly first class. I never thought it would happen, but it did. God answered a tiny thing for me, He cares of even this. Fly delta if you get the chance. They have a nicer plane that Frontier,Northwest, and United. I was very impressed!
On another note...I GOT A SEWING MACHINE!! I got two new purses that are super nice quality and really retro looking. I got a really cool wallet and lots of money to put in it :) that always helps huh! I got pride and prejudice with Keira Knightly...and Barnyard! Lots of stuff! It's been a good Christmas. I am at my Grandparents right now and the family is watching Ricky Bobby...Talladega Nights I think. They told me it was pretty good....not to much cussing or dirty...WHATEVER. So now mom, Damon, and myself have left the room. Thus the reason I am in here posting. Mom is taking a nap and damon was in here but has gone somewhere else. Even TV guardian couldn't help that movie. Yeah what I saw was funny...but...you can't get rid of the filth to enjoy a single bit of it.
I think my family is planning another family vacation for this summer. I think they are coming to Gatlinburg this time. I don't think we will be getting a cabin though. My grandparents own timeshares that they can get REALLY nice condos for much of nothin'. That sounded so country...*shakes head*
Well, pray for me if you read this within the next couple of hours (central time its 6:30 right now) Damon, mom, and myself are going to visit my cousin Troy in jail tonight. I am excited...but I know I will cry. I am going to see if I can put some money on his books for Christmas. I love him so much.
Pray for my mom's adopted dog Larry, he hasn't showed up in two months. He technically isn't hers. We thought he was a stray and fed him, well he would come back off and on and for awhile every sunday. Now as I said....he's been gone for awhile...she's missing him.
Have a good night!

And we are....WERE....off!!
Announcement over loud speakers: "I am sorry folks but we have over sold this flight, if there are any that would be willing to give up their tickets we are offering a $200 travel voucher. Thank You"
*Kasey walks up to podium*
after hearing Christmas eve at almost midnight arrival option, decides to decline.
*Kasey changes mind again at thought of being able to bring her princess, aka Honey basically for free using a travel voucher*
tickets are changed at no cost with a $200 voucher given for both ticket changes. However due to the luggage already being loaded under the plane and it being time to take off, we are not able to get our luggage.
*Kasey changes mind for 3rd time and decides to board flight as orignally planned*
*Kasey boards plane....*
Kasey's ticket is a duplicate. Kasey's flight is COMPLETELY sold out. Flight has room for Damon, but not for Kasey. (I like this third person thing)
*Kasey de-planes*
Long story short (after the long story and 3.5 hours at airport) this is what we ended up with:
Depart 12/23 at same time and connection areas as original flight. EXCEPT we are now in First Class *woohoo*
Honeys ticket is paid for (one way) by Delta. (we only have to pay for one of two ways...PTL)
$200 in travel vouchers each i.e. $400 buckaroos
a check from Delta, one for Damon and one for myself at almost $ 150 each. This wasn't a voucher either but is to be used however we want.
And laslty we are getting comp. lunch vouchers for tomorrow while we wait.
Estimated total between vouchers and checks:
$814. Cha-Ching....GO DELTA!
So the moral of this story...we leave tomorrow, MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Divinity
Okay so I am finding out divinity is a moody kind of candy. First time I made it, turned out pretty, super pretty in fact. Go to yvonne's to show her how I made it and wouldn't you know, the stuff won't set up grrrrrrrrrrrrrr! I made fudge too, tried a new old recipe from the 50's. I left it at yvonnes going to see in a bit if it set up. Today we need to do our gingerbread cookies and sugar cookies and frosting. I also think I will make another batch of fudge, this time my mommas recipe.
If yall have time, I would appreciate any prayers. I really need them right now.

today
today has been a grrr kind of day.
my stupid cat whom loves to annoy me has the realllllly annoying meow that he gives if you instantly don't give him what he wants. Which in turn brings out my rebellious side and I don't want to do anything for the critter. GRRR at you Tigger!
I made divinity today. It's a long process, but cheap to make. So I will be making a few more batches for the goody bags for family.
Wednesday Damon is taking out his crew for Christmas breakfast so I need to have part of my baking done by then so I can have their goody bags ready. I guess I have about 25 to put together. Maybe just 20.
anyway...thats it. We leave for Idaho Friday. WITHOUT Honey. :(

My tummy hurts...
Ouch.
In other news, big disappointment of the night...DAMON DIDN'T GET TO DRIVE WEN'S CAR. He was sorta bummed. However, the walk through Bethlehem was awesome and sadly it is already over. All that work, and wham...OVER!! We had lots of decor, and fish, real fish...really DEAD fish but fish none the less. I think the cutest participant was miss Kailee. I had to guess on cutting her size of costume but it fit near perfectly (twas' a bit long). Should I have a child someday, I want it to be cute...lol. I know the saying "only a mama could love that face" so no matter if the child is ugly or not, if it is your baby you will think it's beautiful. I still wants a Q T Pie like Kailee.
This time of year is so fun and BUSY. Being an adult brings on a lot more responsibility in general, but as the "wife" or "woman" role means I am now in charge of things like family gifts, and Christmas cards, and making things for church activities. Not complaining one bit, it's so fun, just completely different once you are married and out on your own. Even more different than when I was a technical adult but still living with my parents. At any rate...I need to make a dessert for tomorrow evening, get a basket to put all my stuff for the basket auction in, find the item we are to bring tomorrow night for the Campbells...I would say what, but for the off chance Sis Campbell might read this' I don't want to ruin anything. Oh man...there was something else and I just forgot it. Oh yeah...get two more gift cards and try to find some edible silver beads for my snowflake cookies.
Well, its late...busy day tomorrow. Sick nephew here too, and the little guy needs sleep.
Peace

interesting
I found a quotetoday that I thought sounded interesting...

Reply:
Dear Concerned Student:
I am not allowed in schools.
Sincerely,
God
----------------------------------------------------------
How did this get started?...
-----------------
Let's see,
I think it started when Madeline Murray O'Hare complained
she didn't want any prayer in our schools.
And we said, OK.
------------------
Then, someone said you better not
read the Bible in school,
the Bible that says
"thou shalt not kill,
thou shalt not steal,
and love your neighbors as yourself,"
And we said, OK...
-----------------
Dr. Benjamin Spock said
we shouldn't spank our children
when they misbehaved
because their little personalities
would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem.
And we said,
an expert should know what he's talking about
so we won't spank them anymore..
------------------
Then someone said
teachers and principals better not
discipline our children when they misbehave.
And the school administrators said
no faculty member in this school
better touch a student when they misbehave
because we don't want any bad publicity,
and we surely don't want to be sued.
And we accepted their reasoning..
------------------
Then someone said,
let's let our daughters have abortions if they want,
and they won't even have to tell their parents.
And we said, that's a grand idea...
------------------
Then some wise school board member said,
since boys will be boys
and they're going to do it anyway,
let's give our sons all the condoms they want,
so they can have all the fun they desire,
and we won't have to tell their parents they got them at school.
And we said, that's another great idea...
------------------
Then some of our top elected officials said
it doesn't matter what we do in private as long as we do our jobs.
And we said,
it doesn't matter what anybody, including the President,
does in private as long as we have jobs and the economy is good....
------------------
And someone else took that appreciation a step further
and published pictures of nude children
and then stepped further still by
making them available on the Internet.
And we said, everyone's entitled to free speech....
------------------
And the entertainment industry said,
let's make TV shows and movies that promote
profanity, violence and illicit sex..
And let's record music that encourages
rape, drugs, murder, suicide, and satanic themes...
And we said,
it's just entertainment
and it has no adverse effect
and nobody takes it seriously anyway,
so go right ahead.
------------------
Now we're asking ourselves
why our children have no conscience,
why they don't know right from wrong,
and why it doesn't bother them to
kill strangers, classmates or even themselves.
------------------
Undoubtedly,
if we thought about it long and hard enough,
we could figure it out.
I'm sure it has a great deal to do with...
"WE REAP WHAT WE SOW,"
------------------

What a day
I wont spend long on here....long story short, my two weeks notice got cut short. They gave me my check for today and told me that would be all they needed. NICE huh....grrr. Oh well, I was a good example, even if they weren't. Though I understand part of the reasoning, I thought it was low.
onto other news...I think i am going to have to turn the neighbors in for animal abuse. The dog that is so grotesquely skinny, is not sick, its starving. Its appetite is fine. Just needs FOOOD. I took them food tonight and it actually fought the other puppy forfood and was very aggressive. Its so sad, I dont want to make the neighbors mad, but this is pitiful. Advice please. If the dog was just kinda skinny it would be one thing, this dog is extremely emaciated. Starved. I fed and watered them enough tonight, so I know they wont be hungry for one night. But I plan to call the animal control tomorrow.

I posted, be amazed
I guess I have no excuse not to post more often now. There has been a lot going on in life lately, and atleast some news to report. I got another job. No laughing!!Actually I had applied for this job back in October and they just called me on Wednesday to offer it to me. Crazy huh! I have only been at my new job at the CPA's office since Nov. 14th and I had to turn in my two weeks notice yesterday. I was so tore up about it. I hate doing things like that. I realized that job is a whole lot more that it was presented as in the interview(the cpa job) or maybe I just didn't take it the right way or something....cus the job was hard. Super involved. My hat goes off to Accounting people. At any rate I suppose I should tell you about my new position. I will be working for Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools as the Senior Clerk in Learning Support Services. Man, I almost sound important huh! Actually its a long name for, two bosses in the department's assistant. Anyway, I start January 2nd.
I am going Christmas shopping this coming week. Need to get some people taken care of. Ya know, I'm really not a shopping person, but there's something different about Christmas shopping, its fun. I like it.
Well, that is all I have to say. I am going to go try to find a layout I like and can work with. Peace homies.

need prayers
For all of you who read this, please say a prayer for me. I really feel my mind has been through the wringer, and it feels like one thing after another. I also need prayer that I will be the child of the King that I need to be. I don't want to be a failure, a constant mess-up. I want to do things right, I want to obey the Lord. Even in the small things. Just pray for me, I feel so far from God. I know its my own fault, but I also know my mind is probably being messed with.
We had a good time in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge/Townsend. Friday we came into town about two thirty and got our stuff all settled at the cabin. Then we marveled at the biggest jacuzzi tub I have ever seen. After that we ooed and awwed over the hot tub. Man I need (okay so want) one of those things. They are relaxing. Friday night we headed to the aquarium, that was fun. Then we went to the haunted house, fine if thats your thing...they bother me and I wished I hadn't gone. I closed my eyes and prayed during almost the whole thing. I think I only opened my eyes when I needed to see to move. I mean they were shut for a long time. I felt dizzy when I got out.YUCK. I WONT be doing that again, I don't like that stuff...as I said. Anyway, then we got stuck in a parking garage for literally 1.5 hours! YUCK! We happened to be in town the night of the 31st (i think) annual Christmas parade.
Saturday we got up around 10 ish and just hung out. Went into town for a late lunch and shopped. Went to the Ripley museum, shopped some more. Then came back to the Cabin and went back out to do more shopping and ended up eating Burger King, luxurious I know...yet satisfingly yummy. I am just thankful I got to be with my husband, even if it is just BK! Then we went back to the cabin and watched some TV. I painted on my craft statue thing till LATE. Then Bed. Sunday we got up fairly early and filled the cars up with gas then took that nature trail thing that loops through Cades Cove. I got some GREAT pics, that I should hopefully uploading on here soon. After about 3 hours we finally made it back to Gatlinburg for lunch at No Way Joses mexican. Part of it was great and the other part icky. Resulting in an Okay rating. We got to see some beautiful things, see some history, wildlife, I got a awesome skirt and some christmas gifts. It was a good time!

Proud New Owners of.....
HP Media Center Notebook with *drum roll please*
AMD Turion 64 X2 Dual-core mobile technology TL-50 (whatever that means...I just know its good) 15.4" screen, 1GB DDR2 memory, 80GB hard drive, burns and plays both DVD's and CD's! Yay!!!! AND he got a wireless router too!
I love my husband so so much. It's not about the laptop, its about how much he WANTS to make me happy, how he tries to fulfill my desires, attainable or non. I hope this comes across the right way. I don't go around complaining saying, "oh you're a horrible husband because you can't get me this, or you can't get me that". It's more like "oh babe look, that is so neat, wouldn't it be cool to have that some day?" And he tries to get that thing, whatever it may be, just to give me a dream. It's sweet. And, lastly...it's not all about "stuff" just dreams and wishes...and he tries to make dreams, big or small, come true. For that I love him...even MORE. I appreciate him for his love for me. Hopefully I am the same for him. I try to make him happy, not only with "things" he wants (chrome plated alternator...lol) but with the same love and appreciation that he so so deserves. So my new blogger man, if you read this, I love and appreciate you so very much. You make me so happy, and good times or bad, never forget...you are my one and only penguin.
*disclaimer* for all of you puking right now, please try to keep it to a minimum we just got the carpets shampooed in blogville. :)

Hey hey hey
I am posting from the Fox Fort right now. I had a fun weekend with my mini me, aka Morgan Fox, at my side. We did many things, mainly look crrrraaaazy. Last night (friday) we went shopping and I got a 49 dollar skirt for 5.45 with tax. Cha ching, then we went to circuit city. looked at lap tops. Found one...called Damon, Damon came out and looked at them (thought I would be taking hope new laptop and internet connection that very night)then Damon wanted to "sleep on it". So, I left mad and sad, and disappointed. Then we watched Gideon Tuba Warrior (new veggie tales movie). Then we went to bed, and the last official time I saw on the clock was approximately 12:00am. Then....Damon got up at 7:45 and left without us without even really saying anything (and didnt until I asked) so...I am still huffed at the man. I guess in the grand scheme of things I need to get over it, huh. I love him. If he werent so cute to me, I could stay mad longer. At any rate...Then Morgan and I got up at 10:18 am. Ahhh...it was nice. :) Then I made a pot of coffee and we sat down to Hannah Montana. THEN...we watched Freaky Friday, THEN we painted each others faces with left over halloween make up. She was a dog, I was a cat. We got some weird looks coming down the road. This one guy would NOT stop staring at us. weird....so, now I am here.
HOPEFULLY, I will be blogging soon, again, regularly. I miss ya'll.
Prayer requests....DON'T LAUGH
I have a job interview (I know I know) with Metro for a secretary in the Learning skills department. Damon happens to paint for the guy who owns the Old hickory Sonic whose wife is the boss over that department. He talked to her, she said she would make a note of it. I am seriously interested.
Finances...Christmas is gonna be rough with the lack of consistent monies recently. Just pray for it please.
see ya.

new job...
Yes, I started ANOTHER new job. I have decided that food service is just not for me, atleast when working in the nasty environment which I do. Rachel R passed along a job lead to me as a secretary for a CPA's office. Well, I got the job. Y'all just please pray for me. This guy is SERIOUSLy picky. If one thing is off by a fraction of a t-niny hair he makes you do it over. Plus...I have never done CPA work. I am sooo sooo sooo nervous it's not even funny. They make me proof read audit. ME..AUDITS! Geesh. If I don't catch a mistake then the man looks like a fool in his meetings. It's high pressure. I am so ready to be the home maker I dream of. Until then I GOD HELP ME PLEASE to catch on. And I am so serious.
On another note...Ladies retreat was wonderful and better than last year. Probably the best I have ever been to. I really enjoyed Sis. Doris and Sis smith and their classes. It was fun. I was on the food team this year. Its a lot more work than I realized. But I thank God I got to help in even a small way. There were several break throughs, healings, and answers to prayer, it was truly amazing.
I KNOW...I am sure I get the bad blogger award. Damon and I have been talking more about internet, we are talking about doing one Christmas present for both of us. One big gift. A new laptop and internet, hopefully it happens.
Thank you Jesus for another day. Rest in Him, today.

Icky Chicky
Me sick....normally I just tough things out when I am sick. However, now that I work with food (not that I am sick often, for the record) they sent me home and I missed two days last week. (not that I mind) well, today was my first day back, and I am on meds that make you DIZZY and just make me feel, well...ICKY! YUCK. I DISLIKE strongly (not hate) my job. The work isnt so bad, but the co workers are and the kids are rude. I actually got called a "beep" word aka bad word. GRRR. I didn't even do anything. Anyway, PLEEEEASE pray I can find another job within the school system. Even a smaller cafeteria.
Damon has been looking at another truck, its nice and what he's looking for, we shall see.
Jus pray for us, please. Peace homies.

friends
I need a friend...besides a husband. FYI to all single folk out there, once you get married you do not magically become some monster freak who clings to your spouse only and needs no one else. I AM NOT AN ALIEN! Yes...Damon is my super most bestest friend in the whole wide world and means more than breath to me, HOWEVER, I miss friends. I really fit in with no one. I miss my horse, my dog, my cat, my deendee, my parents, my simple life, IDAHO, pooor pooor pooooooor me! *whining mode*
Seriously bummed.
I just want to have something to do on Friday nights and Saturdays.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!
Okay...I am at the internet and this kid next to me (when I say kid, I mean 14ish) is sucking his snot every 2 seconds. I am about to gag....grrrrr GO BLOW YOUR NOSE, PLEEEASE!
Sorry, had to vent. I am trying really hard to not get annoyed. YUCK. He is even hocking loogies. YUCK. I mean I have spit and hocked my fair share (sorry if I am grossing you out) but, NOT in a library or where its very apparent how gross I am being. I try to be a tad more civil than that! ew
On to other news. I got a job job, with metro schools. I will be working in a cafeteria at one of Metros biggest high schools. I am excited and scared. Hours are good, 6:15-12:45 monday through Friday, summers off and all holidays that the kids have, off. I will get decent pay (around 10 I think to start) and all benefits. It will be good. I am excited, and hope I like it. I will be wearing scrubs every day and I have to keep my hair up and back. No touching shoulders, I have to wear all leather shoes in black, white or tan. So no fashionista awards for me. But I am thankful. WOOOHOOO
AND, we are thinking seriously about gettin internet so I can talk to my momma again. Since I wont be having a desk job anytime soon, looks like I wont have access to unlimited internet soon either. The library thing is getting old soon. I am looking at all the options right now to see what works best. Comcast is 19.99 right now for 6 months. Not bad, but bell south has a bundle package for sattelite TV, DSL, phone and other stuff. We shall see, pray my husband will let me keep my cable TV AND get internet. That may sound bad, but I LOOOOVE food network. It is like pure joy during the holiday season. Is that weird. Sigh...anyway. I am hoping, and wishing. *crosses fingers*
Pray for me...lately I feel far from the Lord or something. I really want to please and bless Him, that MUST be first in my life.
I went to the doctor yesterday for my TB (tuberculosis) sp? test for the school stuff. I had to get one. I ask her a few questions about weight loss. I am on my diet and doing pretty good, I told her my goal weight...she said that was a little on the small size she added 20lbs to my goal and said that it would probably be perfect for me. If I get down to my goal weight, I am thinking seriously of having some plastic surgery done to removed excess skin/fat and tone everything up. I really want to have children, but I know if I dont get my weight off first, then it will be even harder to lose after.
On a side note...erika and Wendy and Vic, I saw Charlie today at my work. I didn't say anything to him because he was busy checking out and I didnt know if he would recognize me and if it was some uncanny look alike I didnt want them thinking I was a freak. He looked pretty good. I prayed for him.
Well, I am off.
peace to ya

sad
I am sad/depressed...call it whatever. I feel trapped in a job that thankfully pays bills, but I really don't like. I want to find something good. I waited 6 years for my miracle (husband) but I really am finding it hard to wait (going on three years now) to bring my horse and get a house. I feel trapped in something I can't help. I don't know why my doors aren't opening. Please pray for me. I am trying to lose some weight too, but when I feel like this, one things seems to stick out in my mind. Dairy Queen. :) pray for me.

I got a job
It is not my dream job, but thank the Lord it will help! :) I got a job at goody's! I start Monday. HOWEVER, I posted my resume on a nashville based job seeker site, and someone called me today! I have an interview tomorrow at 1pm in Brentwood for an account manager position! Yee haw, they are hiring ASAP too! So that is good. Keep praying.
I made two pies on Tuesday. I took one to The Campbells, it was my apple pie. Brother Jerry said it was the best apple pie he had tasted in all of his 56 years (or 57, I can't remember)That made me feel good. I also made a grape pie. I know, you are thinking "gross, that can't be good" but you are wrong. I had the idea long ago, I was thinking why doesn't someone make a grape pie??? I like grapes, grapes are good, they are a fruit, and fruits go in pies. Well, wouldn't you know...in my grandma's cookbook from 1947 there is a recipe for grape pie. I kind of deviated from it, as I bought ingredients before actually reading the ingredient list. The recipe calls for concorde grapes. I just got plain on red seedless grapes. So next time I aim to follow it and use concorde grapes. Even though I used the wrong kind of grape it twas' downright delicious and my sister in law thought it was good too! So, if and I am sure hoping, but if I get to enter the national pie baking contest, I think I may enter, the GRAPE PIE! :)
I am not feeling to good, please pray for me. I have had a headache and felt nauseous and just wore out. I mowed one of Damons yard's today. I didn't want to load the riding mower up, so I just put the push mower in the truck and push mowed the whole thing. Took me about 1.5 hours and I am sure tired, but atleast I got it done for him and I am a good wife :)
Well ciao.

I guess I shall post
I admit...it's kind of hard to keep up with the blog scene now that I don't have a readily available internet source to go to. When I come here to the Library, I have so many things to do on the internet that blogging seems to take a back burner to job applications and such.
I do miss it.
Church is really busy, we have a lot of new things going on. A new youth thing is going on now, every wednesday night. I am a part of the activities committee, the leader is Ondra, assistants are Emily, Meg and as I said, myself. It should be fun. We are also in the middle of a big fundraising contest right now. I hope we raise a lot of money!
I have a job interview with Goodys today at 1:30. Pray for that, it would be something to take care of my car note. Not my dream job, but enough to get us by. You know, in times like these, I don't know how we make it. EXCEPT GOD. Damon and I are used to two incomes. We brought in a lot but had a lot going out. I dont mean by spending frivelously either or using up credit cards. It wasn't like that. But GOD ALWAYS pulls us through these "broke" times. It seems hard to make it on two incomes, yet when we are down to one income we always have what we need and then some. Its weird, but I won't complain! :)
Well, I need to get off her to go check other blogs. I officially have 43 minutes left on the internet and I want to use that to check things out! Love and peace out homies

No News
No job news. I haven't gotten a call back yet. I was in the top three. He said they would call me either friday or today. So...i wait....you know what they so though, a watch phone never rings. I am nervous. Mainly because this is really my last viable lead. If I don't get it, I am concerned about my next car payment. However, I have been praying if its Gods will for me to have it, then I would get it. If not, that I would not get it. He knows. But this is the hard part. Pray for us. I LOOOOVE staying home and being a house wife. I don't have kids yet, but I love having a clean house and dinner for my husband to come home to. We just cant afford it right now.So please pray for us.
On a lighter note, we went and looked at a car Saturday night. Not just any car...a 2006 mustang GT. Black. V-8. The works. It was hot, and I COULD SOOOO see myself driving it. Need a job though and would have to decide if I really wanted to give up my ROOOMY car for a hot sounding muscle car. :)
Well, peace out, I just applied for another job. PRAY! Love you mommy

My Birthday Surprise
Long time, no post. I know, I know...
Well, I shall get right to the point! I got a great birthday surprise!! My mommy! See my birthday is actually September 8th (this coming Friday) but Damon came to assembly Thursday night and asked me to meet him out front so he wouldn't have such a hard time finding me. Well, I knew something was happening (out of the ordinary) as he had eluded to a surprise for the past couple of months, that I knew would take place on Thursday. I thought it was something all romantic and gushy, so...as I make my way out to meet him in the front of the auditorium, I see him and hug him and so on...then here comes my momma outa nowhere. She said "surprise!" Whoa...had no idea. It was great. My mom's first assembly. I was so surprised and proud to have her there with me! For real, had NO idea!! I wish I woulda had sooome kind of idea, because I secured a single room! She had to sleep on microtels window ledge bed, which turned out to be more comfy than the bed. But I digress. Anyway...that was my birthday surprise. However, I will not discourage anyone from telling me happy bday again THIS FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 8th!! lol
Speaking of microtel...grrr at them. I have stayed there for 4 years, ner a problem. Well, wouldn't you know it, they were suuuch a pain this year! GRRR. I have NEVER paid up front, now I have to pay up front. BEFORE the stay. Of course, in a fit of rebellion and proving a point to damon, I cut my credit card up and gave it to him...course that didn't help me out to much at this point! Man I wish I wasn't so stubborn sometimes. Anyway....I call him to get the credit card number...she says, she can't just have a number she has to have the actual card to see it. GRR Then she says she already has the check in process started so if I don't give her a card I will lose my reservation and she will have to re-do it (which would mean I would lose my room possibly!) So I say, okay (since we are paying for everything with cash out of savings and the money isnt in our checking account)I know I dont have enough for all three nights of the room, but I ask her if I can secure one night. She says fine. We go to check out Sunday..and find out they have put the WHOLE thing on our debit card! The thing was, Damon paid them CASH for two nights already, after I had paid them one night. SOOO, they refunded us 80 something dollars, but still...good grief...I told her ONE night, not three!! Anyway....Next year I am going to save money and get somewhere a bit closer and a little friendlier. Even if it costs 60-70 a night! I was so upset!
Anyway, enough griping.
Pray, I have a job interview this Friday. This is for the job I really wanted, but I am still nervous! Its hopefully starting at 11.50-12.00 an hour and would start out part time for a while. (which I would love!!)
