I thought the same thing this morning! And one of our precious saints from NC (elderly lady...Sister Ruby Laxton) went home the same day as Damon. Her husband was a wonderful faithful pastor. I know that she would just love Damon. I picture they both ran down to the gate and said, "Wait until you see this!" I am glad that we can think of how it really is even if our wildest imagination can't get around it. I'm keeping you in prayer and I know the Lord is carrying you in His precious arms. Pray for the Bogoni doggie...we went to get him yesterday (Schnauzer) while they go to Washington state for two weeks. Poor little thing was sick all night because he's traumatized. He'll perk up soon and I can love on him more but he's used to a house of 3 adults and four kids! Now he's stuck with just me....and my hubby at night. Sister Amy is going to be in her sister's wedding Saturday and it's the first time she'll have gone home in over seven years. I'm so happy for her! They are keeping you much in prayer over there too. Hugs.
As soon as we got word of Brother Pruitt's passing, I thought, "he and Damon must be shouting all over heaven together." You are in our prayers constantly throughout the day. I wake up through the night, wondering how you are doing and pray for you then as well.
Losing a parent isn't anything like losing a spouse, but I know that if I still have rough days, missing my Dad after 11 years, then you will have rough moments as well. But I have found out, as you are finding, that God's grace truly is sufficient to see us through the pain that this life inflicts upon us. All we have to do is ask God to wrap His arms around us and comfort us. Right now there are many who are asking God to do that for you. God has been so good to surround you with people, known and unknown to you, to pray for you and lift you up. God is so very good!
I'm glad that Bro. Pruitt has a clearer mind than ever before. I'm imagine that Damon is up there picking Bro. Pruitt's brain right now. :-)
