Blogging From Home

I am actually blogging from the house. How cool is that? I need to make it quick because I want to leave early for work today. I was up really late last night, and only got about 4.5 hours of sleep. I prayed for the Lord to double my sleep as I knew the hours wouldn't be much. This morning I don't feel to bad! I am almost done with the cupcakes. I have the chocolate buttercream frosting left to make and then frost the remaining cup cakes and I am DONE with the taste testing part. Next comes the 200 of the chosen flavor. I wish Damon was here. Just thought I would intercede that comment right there. Hmm...what else?... Well, I am drawing a blank right now, so just continue to pray for Bill, and have a great day!

How many different flavors do you have to choose from?

She is getting two kinds of cake: Chocolate and Yellow. I flavored the yellow with Almond and it tastes GOOD! I used vanilla to flavor the chocolate. She is getting two kinds of Icing: French Buttercream (Homemade, melt in your mouth..mmm) and Hot Fudge Butter Cream. The fillings are what she can choose from (which she could really choose to only do one cake flavor and one icing if she wanted...so theres choices all the way around) are: Hazelnut Mocha, Raspberry, Vanilla Mousse, Lovers Kiss Mousse(a milk chocolate, heavy cream, marshmallow combo), and Cranberry Cream Mousse. Sound good??

well...i looked at different recipes online and picked out a few. But my internet wouldn't work so I had to go things by memory, or kinda of use a few baking laws so to say and some up with some things. I was surprised by the cranberry creme mousse. It is SOOO good. The raspberry, mmm, I don't normally like raspberry, but this is YUMMY. Mainly because I strained the seeds out. Cooking at its basics is very simple. (as you probably know, from what i can tell you are great cook!)I put the cranberries in the blender to get a pretty fine chop to them, then boiled them in water and sugar and added some flour, then added real whipped cream and folded it all in. The raspberry I boiled the berries with water and sugar, and then strained them, put them back on the stove and added the flour. YUM. The hazlenute mocha I used chocolate pudding with instant belgian hazelnut coffee, lovers kiss was what i could remmeber from a recipe I had seen. I don't like chocolat emuch, but it is GOOD. YUM. The vanilla mousse was the most in detail, I heated up the heavy cream (not for the low calorie crowd) with vanilla flavoring, then added one egg slowly, then beat some more heavy cream to make whipped cream (adding sugar of course) then folded the two together. :)

Wow, you are very creative! I hope they pick one without the mocha (I can't stand coffee of ANY sort!) Just one more thing to look forward to in a couple weeks - Kasey's cupcakes. :)
