I forgot to mention

That...We had someone famous on our plane the Minneapolis to Nashville leg of the trip. Recognize him?

If you don't listen to country then you won't but if you do, then you should know this is Trace Adkins. The man really is HUGE in real life. He's like 6'4" ish. He was real quiet. I wanted to walk past him and whisper in his ear "I see famous people" but Damon didn't want me to. :) I was going to anyway, but I chickened out. He was in first class and kind of had his head down. Damon said, "if you are going to tell him anything, you should tell him Jesus loves him". I really wished I had my demo with me. Hullooo record contract. Course I don't know how much pull he has with the gospel world, but oh well.

Speaking of the gospel music world, I work with a guy who is a good family friend of the Gaithers and I work with another Gospel greats nephew. HELLO! Where are the connections yo!? Maybe it just isn't meant to be.

Oh yeah...The word I was looking for yesterday for the scrumptious Italian dessert I ate that Mrs. Caroselli made, was a *don't know if spelling right* cannoli. Yumm-O! *doing cannoli dance* Man I could eat those things all day! They weren't TOOO sweet, but just enough that you really could eat them all day and not get sick! ...well.... maybe not...but anyway. They had the basic food groups too, Walnuts=protein, Outside Shell (similar to waffle cone, but softer)= grains, Cream filling= dairy, Chocolate= fruit (cocoa beans grow on a tree right). See...Total health food! LOL

And, I finally figured out why my arms were itching so bad yesterday. I was beginning to wonder. While grocery shopping in walmart, *holy spend a lot batman* ($106!!! Geesh), apparently my arms had little blisters forming all over the skin surface.I had forgotten what that itchy feeling from a sunburn means because I haven't gotten that bad in a long time. So I proceeded to scrape my nail over my arm and you could ear the little buggers popping away. Reminds me of that bubble wrap you get in gifts. Was fun, for my twisted mind anyway. Oh, and my loving husband decided he wanted pizza last night after I just spend over a 100 bucks buying food to cook for him! Bless his heart. So I had to hop on over to Pizza hut, however he DID remember to get me my thin crust. Love you boo!

I found a recipe for Dr Pepper cake, so I am hopefully going to have it made for Sunday dinner. On the menu for Sunday is homemade Lasagna, Salad, Garlic Bread and Dr Pepper Cake. Hopefully he likes it.

On a serious note, we need to pray for TCOG like never before. *edited because this statement sums it up, don't need all my 2 cents added on :)*

anyway...Back to your regularly televised program...:) oh and I FORGOT MY LUNCH. waaaaaaaaah

Oops...I spelled his name wrong. :(

Yeah I was. :) Damon kept saying, are you sure, are you sure? It was so him. When we were waiting for our luggage, someone was carrying his. He carried a duffel bag, but some other dude carred the big suit case. He was wearing a red sleevless shirt with khaki shorts and white tennis shoes. Had a cap on backwards and his hair pulled back. :) I think he's good looking. Damon thinks I am psycho probably! I think Keithy...aka Keith URban is cute too, Damon thinks Im crazy. Told you you need to come down here. You see famous people.:)

It's hilarious to be in Nashville and see famous people. I still crack up over seeing Bryan White at the zoo with a "I'm a Legend in Japan" cap... when he hasn't put out anything new in years!

I saw Michael Tait at the airport one time and got his autograph... it's hilarious.

I can't think of what Trace Adkins sings? I just know he used to be an opera singer....
Oh wait, he did that song "This ain't no thinkin' thing, right brain, left brain, it goes a little deeper than that..." or something like that. I so made fun of him the first time I saw him on the CMA awards cause he's SOOOOO tall and was moving weird.

YAY for you forgetting your lunch 'cause that means we could have lunch together! Thanks for coming to get me, it was cool to talk. Hope your boss wasn't too mad at you for being late. :-/

I've seen his videos (my eyes had to repent afterwards) and as Shania Twain would say, "It don't impress me much!" EWWWWWWW!

Boss not mad! :) cept my eggs really are grossing me out now. The eggs I ate. Just to clarify.

MT you are funny. I think he's handsome. He's kinda tough guy looking, I like the bad boy look. Not that I am seriously looking, DUH i am married. But I still have eyes to see who is ugly and who ain't. :P hehe

As a guy, yes, he does have a certain appeal, but as an artist, once again, EWWWWWWWWW! I really can live without his stuff.

I don't like his new song...honky tonk badonkadonk. Or however you spell it. I mean I like it, but I don't need to like it, ya know. Anyway...his other stuff is good. :)

I thought that song was kinda funny. =P

The video is most definitely not "kinda funny". There are two of his videos that made me not ever want to listen to him, the one to the song you mentioned and "One Hot Mama". Someone showed me that video because they thought that it was "funny", more like X-rated. The Honky Tonk whatever, I saw by accident and only a few seconds of that one and oh my! I am not a prude, but please! No thank you...his videos and the songs that go with them do not fit into that "whatsoever is lovely, whatsoever is pure" category, so I'll pass.

i forgot about one hot momma song. I think the song itself is okay for a husband to wife. It's sweet. The video, you're right. I didn't like it. THe others aren't bad though. I think you have to use your judgement. Some songs that are country are great, others are most certainly not. I believe by brooks and dunn, GREAT song.

You coulda been his next song!!!!

I met a girl on the red eye...

LOL!!!

*sigh* He is "hot" in that Dwight YUCKum kinda way. LOL! I like him. It's the ego. It is hot. :P

He has some really good song that if your husband sang them to you or said those things you would melt. :) HOWEVER his videos are pretty uh... well you know. But I can watch it without lusting after the girls. LOL! IF you actually watch the honkey booty video you will see him laughing and saying Oh My Goodness. It is funny. HE said it tore him up cause them girls were so young. It was weird for him. But the producers set it up. His audience likes him for his risque stuff... or so they think.

Kasey said...

He seemed very low key, I guess Damons right...If I told him anything it should be Jesus loves him. He's on his third marriage. Maybe we could pray for Trace Atkins :) About his videos, sex sells anymore, sad to say. What do you expect from a sinner. All I can do is my part, and not watch the videos or listen to the song. I like the hot momma song, but the video is def. bad. The booty song, I cant watch or listen, bugs me.

Momma Tammi said...

I agree, the One Hot Mama song is one that my husband teases me about and yeah, Wendy, I can keep from lusting after the girls, ~rolling eyes and grinning~ it is just the whole direction that those videos are going in and at this point in MY life, one really bad video or song will prevent me from listening to an artist. The song AND the video "I Believe" by Brooks and Dunn gets me everytime, but I won't listen to the rest of their stuff and the only reason I heard that song was by accident as well.

Everyone has to decide for themselves, so please understand, this is MY opinion and it is what I do for ME. As Kasey said, "you have to use judgement" and for ME, my judgement says, "NOPE, NADA, NO WAY JOSE, NOT GOING THERE!" Love you guys!

I started to watch the video once...yeah..um..no i turned it. =P Ha ha, I'm not a country fan anyways. I just heard that song a couple times on the radio at work and it made me laugh. Believe me I don't watch the videos!

Momma Tammi said...

Thank goodness! The song does sound funny in the beginning, but after catching a glimpse of the video...YIKES! IMO it ain't funny no more.

Trace's older stuff was really good, but I can't stand the new booty song. It gets on my nerves. Very degrading.
