Sup' Home Skilleys
Wednesday Madness. Due to the fact I just spent over one hundred buckaroos on groceries, I SHOULD *super stressing the should* cook them and not eat out. However, that would make to much sense, now wouldn't it? *sigh*
I had the brilliant idea to go out to eat again last night, and decided to invite the Riddells. So I called Rachel and she called Megan and left a message for her to give to Brad to let him know what was going on. Pickle man had to work late, Rachel was worried he wouldn't get the message and would go home. Pickle man called, Rachel was finally okay. Alas we were on our marry way to the Green Palms aka Palmas Verdes. Pickle man SUPER late. Pickle man was almost toooo late, but finished just in time. Though it isn't pickle mans fault because he lives in the worst driver per capita state of the whole USA, aka Tennessee. No offense TN. :) Final verdict for evening, dinner was good.
Gleaners last night. Was the final night for Emilys team. Emilys Team consisted of: Em, Ondra, Chandler, me. Games, Food, Dodge Ball, Popsicles, basketball. What could be more fun. Great night.
Kim asks the question "Kasey are you ready for Sunday?" ARGH! I forgot!
:( David's graduation party! So I gotta find out my work schedule and get it goin! Man, I am such a slacker, I forgot!
Peace out home skilleys. Btw, I have a new addiction, or shall I say I just REALLY like this...Apple Limeades from Sonic. They are so yummy! Huh Megan!

I'm a good wife...sometimes.
Last night was good wife night! I made Dinner AND Dessert. *holds sign up to "clap now!"* I made Sis R. Doran's Honey Chicken. I have two words...YUM-O! Man that stuff was good! I will for sure be making it again and my husband liked it too. Oh and even my 5 year old nephew thought it was great! I made rosemary potatoes (the little red ones), and salad the way Damon likes its. Iceberg with tomatoes in wedges, not cubed, and cucumbers. That's a Damon salad. This time I got a english cucumber like Rachel Ray on Food Network uses. You can leave the skin on them because they come wrapped in plastic and don't have the wax on them. I think the skin is thinner too. Anyway, I still took some of it off so I could have a pretty ribbon effect when it was all sliced up. Hey MT, they are a "product of Canada"! Then for Dessert I made a BIG pan of cheesecake with Cherry topping. It is pretty good if I do say so myself! Damon looooooves Cheesecake. *gives pat on back* I even made a menu for this week, so I could buy my groceries accordingly. I am hoping to shop in two week intervals. Make my menu for two weeks at a time. With this, it may help cut the cost of groceries and buying un-necessary items. I need to find food that is healthy, yet quick to fix for my nights I work at wal-mart. I literally only have 35 minutes from the time I get home from my day job to the time I need to leave for Wal-Mart. I don't want Damon to have to eat Totinos all the time. *side note* going to talk to wal-mart about cutting me down to two days a week, hope it flys. Ya'll could pray. I am planning on only working till August, and if they can't cut my hours, I may just quit. I am tired of missing out on life :) I will probably look for a different day job come September too. Want to get into a retirement center. I love working with elderly people. Man, that was a big side note. :)
State Convention is next weekend, Daniel Frizzel's wedding is this Saturday. :( I am getting an itch to go to Gatlinburg for a weekend. *sigh* I really wanna go to State Convention.
For some reason my arms blistered again last night. Like all over. I am peeling again after popping them all. I know that is gross to some of you, but I don't want a bunch of little blisters on my arm. That would just look weird.
We are getting a new TV this weekend, ours went caput again. It went bye bye before but we just had it repaired, this time...Damon says we are going to buy a new one.
Oh, and now we have to wait for another claim to be opened on my car before we can get it fixed. We could get it fixed right now, but they would only pay for 305 of the 805, because we have a 500 deductible. Since it wasn't our fault, they have to open a claim on the other woman and though she is part of the same insurance company we will have to get a whole new estimate and so on. This could take a while. I don't like this wreck going on my cars history. I want to sell it and if it has a poor car fax history. GRRR, people won't want it. I don't want to sell right away, but in a year or so maybe. I love my car, hate the payment. Who knows, God may have other things in store.
Peace out home skilleys. Have a good day in Jesus.

I forgot to mention
That...We had someone famous on our plane the Minneapolis to Nashville leg of the trip. Recognize him?
If you don't listen to country then you won't but if you do, then you should know this is Trace Adkins. The man really is HUGE in real life. He's like 6'4" ish. He was real quiet. I wanted to walk past him and whisper in his ear "I see famous people" but Damon didn't want me to. :) I was going to anyway, but I chickened out. He was in first class and kind of had his head down. Damon said, "if you are going to tell him anything, you should tell him Jesus loves him". I really wished I had my demo with me. Hullooo record contract. Course I don't know how much pull he has with the gospel world, but oh well.
Speaking of the gospel music world, I work with a guy who is a good family friend of the Gaithers and I work with another Gospel greats nephew. HELLO! Where are the connections yo!? Maybe it just isn't meant to be.
Oh yeah...The word I was looking for yesterday for the scrumptious Italian dessert I ate that Mrs. Caroselli made, was a *don't know if spelling right* cannoli. Yumm-O! *doing cannoli dance* Man I could eat those things all day! They weren't TOOO sweet, but just enough that you really could eat them all day and not get sick! ...well.... maybe not...but anyway. They had the basic food groups too, Walnuts=protein, Outside Shell (similar to waffle cone, but softer)= grains, Cream filling= dairy, Chocolate= fruit (cocoa beans grow on a tree right). See...Total health food! LOL
And, I finally figured out why my arms were itching so bad yesterday. I was beginning to wonder. While grocery shopping in walmart, *holy spend a lot batman* ($106!!! Geesh), apparently my arms had little blisters forming all over the skin surface.I had forgotten what that itchy feeling from a sunburn means because I haven't gotten that bad in a long time. So I proceeded to scrape my nail over my arm and you could ear the little buggers popping away. Reminds me of that bubble wrap you get in gifts. Was fun, for my twisted mind anyway. Oh, and my loving husband decided he wanted pizza last night after I just spend over a 100 bucks buying food to cook for him! Bless his heart. So I had to hop on over to Pizza hut, however he DID remember to get me my thin crust. Love you boo!
I found a recipe for Dr Pepper cake, so I am hopefully going to have it made for Sunday dinner. On the menu for Sunday is homemade Lasagna, Salad, Garlic Bread and Dr Pepper Cake. Hopefully he likes it.
On a serious note, we need to pray for TCOG like never before. *edited because this statement sums it up, don't need all my 2 cents added on :)*
anyway...Back to your regularly televised program...:) oh and I FORGOT MY LUNCH. waaaaaaaaah

*wipes brow*
What a week! I guess I will go in chronological order as best I can remember.
Friday, as you have heard via my mom, I got rear ended. At the intersection of Tulip Grove and Lebanon Pike. The light was red, we were all stopped, had turned green and WHAM. $800 to fix, got the estimate in the mail when we got home. The woman who hit me is claiming she was hit by a black truck which in turn caused her to hit me. I never saw a black truck. Go figure.
Saturday, we technically go into Boise around 1am Saturday morning. I got up around 7:30 and went to Wal-mart for all the shower food I needed to prepare AND for my 1GB memory card. All together I spent just over 100 bucks, and my memory card and lithium batteries took up 65ish of that. Not bad, I don't think. Amongst all the planning we had a miscommunication/forgetation/transportation issue. I ended up renting about 40 chairs last minute. Cost me 61 buckaroos. We were outside setting up for the shower from around 2pm up until time for it to start. Everyone raved about it, and I do have to say myself, that it looked amazing. The grooms mom said I should turn it into a business because everything looked so good and flowed so nicely. We did have one issue...WIND. The candles for the fondue would NOT stay lit and it caused a bit of a havoc for all my decorations. All in all, it went well and Sylvia was fully embarrassed. :) Hey, isn't that what a bridal shower is for? Muuuwaaahahahaha We didn't leave til 11pm. LONG DAY
Sunday we went to church, I got in trouble cus I forgot my soundtracks :) Then we had a father's day dinner at my grandma's for dad and grandpa. The food was SOOOOOOOOOO good. YUM-O! Then we had service that night, and went to dairy queen after.
*man I am getting sad remembering all this stuff*
Monday I don't really remember what we did. I know we grilled steak and shrimp on the bbq. Oh yeah, I did Syl's test run on her hair for the wedding.
Tuesday, we went to Big Juds with my Aunt. It's a burger joint, really good, and they have FRY SAUCE! YUMMY, fry sauce is un known in the south. However in the northwest they have it for sale on the shelf. SO good! You mix ketchup with mayo. YUMMY! Dip fries and hamburgers or corndogs or tots in it.
Wednesday we went four wheeling in the Owyhee Mountains (rode ATV's). This is where I got sunburnt to a crisp. We were on the road almost to silver city when I noticed my arms getting red (about 4 hours of riding). So I thought, I will put sun screen on when I get there, no big deal. Did just that, proceeded to finish the ride. No big deal. WRONG. I was fried, so bad my hands got really swollen. I couldn't even move without hurting. I was PINK. My poor skin. I have never burned like that before. I doused myself in aloe vera gel and lotion. Then, after all that drama, we went to dinner that night and I had terriyaki chicken. YUMMY.
Thursday, I don't remember to much. I know I couldn't ride my horse as planned because it literally BURNED to get any kind of sun on me at all. Even a few seconds and I was hurting. I had to hold my arms up in the air while we were in the vehicle, just to keep the sun off. I know I had to get fitted for my bridesmaid dress. It was to big, nice change..Anyway. They said they would fix it. Then we went to church that night. I made reservations for 8 at the local fondue restaurant. Church ended at 7:45, how's that for perfect timing! We went into the fondue place and it was sooo awesome! Expensive, but awesome. Everyone enjoyed it, but I was the only one who enjoyed it enough to do again. It was 138 ish for four people. Definitely a once or twice a year type thing. The first course was a salad with homemade bread and dipping sauce for the bread. The second course was the cheese fondues with three kinds of home made bread, and veggies and fruit. The third course was brought out and cooked at our table on a swiss grill. We cooked it, was fun! We had filet mignon, marinated terriyaki filet mignon, shrimp, pork tenderloin, alligator sausage (didn't try that one, Damon did and he liked it), all sorts of veggies. Then they brought all the dipping sauces for the main meal, plus rosemary potatoes. Finally the fourth course wad the dessert. We had two types of fondu. Milk chocolate, and Caramel Vanilla. They brought a plate of homemade cheesecake, brownies, pound cake, macaroons, and the not homemade stuff was pretzels, marshmallows, fruit, and I'm sure something else. To me the money, time, and memories of it, was worth it all. I had a lot of fun.
Friday Damon and Dad and Grandpa went fishing. I went to lunch with my Deendee (grandma) and then got a pedicure. Then it was off to Boise for the wedding rehearsal. After that we had the rehearsal dinner. Alex is Italian and his mom made HOMEMADE FROM SCRATCH lasagna and it was GOOOD. She also made these dessert things from scratch and for the life of me I cannot remember! You fry it shell bread thing in a cylinder shape then fill it with this home made cream. Then dip the ends in chocolate and the that in walnuts and then sprinkle it with powdered sugar. I had the name...now its gone! GRRRR. Anyway it was Italian and yummy and an old recipe. They said his mom had been cooking all week.
Saturday was the wedding. I got up around 8 and went and spent some time with my horse as the sun was finally not as harsh on my decrispifying skin. She and I had bonding time and I just loved on her. Then I headed to Boise to help the bride get ready. Here is where I Found out my dress was altered to be TOOO tight. I made it work tho and shoved everything in there :D. LOL. She looked beautiful and her dress was perfect on her. I didn't forget my words to the song I was singing in the ceremony. PRAISE THE LORD! It was honestly a fun time and I wish them the best. Did I mention I got the keys to their honeymoon suite and Lisa Slack helped me "decorate" it. Again...muwaaahahahaha. On the way home I had several things on my mind and was bothered. Summer is not over yet Gracie. :)
Sunday we got up at 3am and made it to airport at 4am. Only to discover I had the times wrong and we were leaving 50 minutes later than I originally thought. On the second flight close to Landing, Damon got sick. My poor baby, he threw up. :( Thank goodness for wet wipes travel packs!
I am sad and missing everything from home, but that is natural. As the song goes, my life is in your hands, God. It will all work out and be okay. Summer is not over yet.
That is the update, peace out folkies!

I misunderstood my momma, I thought she said dad HAD bought her a ATV. He is still thinking and she had decided on color is all. Sorry, don't want anyone to think she or I are fibbers. She isn't and I isn't. Hows that for a double negative.

:( me no church ):
I missed church last night...*bummedness* I wanted to see Autumn since this would have been the only opportunity to see her. Let me tell you the story of why I missed church last night. Read Below.
Long ago, there was a fair maiden...oh wait, wrong story.
eh hem *clears throat*
Long ago there was a Wal-Mart in Hermitage, TN. There a fair maiden came to work, and the mean Wal-Mart schedulers made the young lady work many grueling hours. In a ten day period of time, she was working 8 of those days. Thus, in order to be ready for her trip to a far away land she called home, she had decided to take a half day on Friday to pack and clean her living quarters. However, the slave master at her other place of work decided the young maiden needed to accompany the master to a possible job contract, in aid of bidding help. The maiden was crushed, she had no hope of packing and getting ready for her trip. The hours were long, the work tedious and grueling, whatever was she to do? She had the thought she would miss her midweek service to her heavenly Lord in hopes of getting all packed and settled and her living quarters spotless. She didn't want to displease her Lord, she prayed, she pondered, she decided to continue so in her plan. At the last minute she really wanted to go but her husband would not let her. He was short in waiting, and his patience regarding her "getting ready" was not available for her disposal at the time. Thus, the maiden stayed home and packed her husbands and her belongings as well as her 2nd born childs belongings. She scrubbed and mopped, scrubbed and dusted, scrubbed and scrubbed some more. It sparkled, the luster the shine, "oh me oh my what a delight" she thought! Alas, her task was finished and just in time for her to head to the bathing quarters. For she had to get ready for her newly washed bed linens that were calling her name to fade away into their land of sweet dreams. BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP, back to reality. That was my alarm.
By the way, my second born child, is my dog honey. She is going with us. I think I have 95% of everything packed. I have to pack toiletries and such just before we leave. I will drug honey at the airport and she should be good for the rest of the trip! I am scared the difference in altitude will hurt my babies ears so I got some stuff from the vet to knock her out. I always hear real babies cry when their wittle ears hurt because of the difference in altitudes, I didn't want my little honey to have that happen too, so I just make her sleepy! Poor thing...she takes awhile to get back to her normal self. She's usually good by the next day tho!
My dad bought my mom a four-wheeler yesterday. It's red she says, I can hardly wait to see it!
I work Wally World tonight, so toodles yall, love and best dishes from my kitchen to yours!

End of the Spear
I have wanted to watch this movie ever since I heard the story on the local Christian radio station. It came out at Wal-Mart yesterday and I picked it up. We have been fairly slow here at my day job, so I had time to watch it. I felt like it could have focused more on God, however the point did got across what the movie was about (Jesus and spreading the gospel) and how Jesus died for us to live with Him forever. It made me cry several times. Be advised there is a lot of violence (as this is a movie about spreading the gospel to a well known violent tribe in the jungles of ecuador) and the people are dressed in usual tribal attire. I wouldn't let your little ones watch it. It was very moving to me though. It was a two DVD set and I have the other DVD to watch still (may save that one for the plane). I encourage you to get this movie though, oh yeah...did I mention its based of a true story, anyway I really liked it.
Work was BUSY BUSY BUSY BUSY last night! And I was alone for half of it! I have never been that busy at Wal-mart in all of my life! Even on Saturdays!
Damon gave me my birthday present last night! He gave me $$$ and lots of it! 1GB Memory Stick here I come!
We leave for Idaho at 6 something Friday evening! I am so excited! Saturday will be sooooo busy though! I just found out my one of two big brothers, Chuck Slack, wants to take me paint balling at 11am. I will see if I can get damon to go...hmmm asthma + paintball= inhaler...hehe. Will try to go if I can move it up earlier. Who knows...I need to make the cheesecakes that day and the fondu as well as get all the fruit and cake cut up for the fondue, AND make the toppings for the cheesecake and the punch. We are setting up around 2 for the shower that starts at five. Somewhere in the day I need to make two Cherry Rhubarb pies and get some fish marinating for the fathers day party we are giving to my dad and grandpa on Sunday. It's for sure going to be a busy day!
Did I mention I have lost 6ish-7ish lbs! (can't see the scale dials that far away, somewhere in there) YEE HAW Praise you Jesus!
Continue to pray for the presbytery meeting, Bro Brads benefit, and sis Dupre. SO many other things as well. Pray for Sis Julie's daughter and my cousin Troy and family friend, Megan.
oh yeah...my daddy's buying momma a new ATV aka Four Wheeler! Yee haw again!
Peace out home fries!

I'm BACK! I'm BACK! I'm BACK! I'm BACK!
woohoooo.....the song "HALLELUJAH" comes to mind. This may sound dumb, but you have NO idea how hard this past week was. Maybe thats why God wanted me to let go of it for a bit.
I am somewhat torn on the decision of writing a really long blog, or going and checking out the weeks worth of blogs I have missed. Although, mom and Gracie both told me it was pretty dull this past week.
This past week (Monday-Sunday) I worked a whopping 76 hours. I am sooooo TIRED! I have to work a lot this week too. Will end up only putting in 52 this week though.
We leave for Idaho in 4 days. HOLLAH WENDY! I am so excited yet so freaked out at the same time. I have the finishing touches on the Bridal shower to do, as well as the father's day party we are throwing for my dad and grandpa. I need to get so many things ready for the wedding. I am official bridesmaid, hairstylist, and wedding singer. My family and I are hopefully going to the cabin for 2-3 days. I am so excited I can hardly stand it. Yet I know it will not be long and I will be in this same position typing about how great the trip was, how fast it went, and how much I miss family. It's not so much Idaho that is what I miss, although atleast there is NO HUMIDITY! It's my family and animals. My momma and daddy, my grandpa and grandma, my deendee, my aunt. Them mainly, and my horsey Annie and skippy and blackey and spikey the dogs. *sigh*
My company was hosting a hospitality tent at the Nascar Busch 300 race this past weekend. It was okay. Originally I wasn't going but my boss wanted me to go and I thought it might be fun, so Damon and I rushed around to get ready. I won't be going again. The hospitality tent had great food, but the race was boring and loud. We left way early into the race, and were still momentarily half deaf.
Yesterday I worked 7-4 and by the time we left for church I was aching from the waist down from being so tired on my feet. I fell asleep on the way to church. It's a 25 minute drive, just long enough to nap. People said I looked tired, thanks guys :) I don't think I will keep my wal-mart job for to much longer after I get back. I can't handle it. It was good for a time. And, I have never had so many chances to witness about the truth and what the truth really means. Kinda cool.
Pray for me this week. I am already tired, but God is able. I want to make Him happy in my tiredness.
Hollah Bloggas!

So no one is offended.
June 5 as of 12:00am this morning through June 10th as midnight, The Church of God in Antioch will be a in 24 hour prayer and fast chain. We were encouraged to give up something that really has a hold on our lives for one week in order to let God know we were a people called by His name and ready to HUMBLE ourselves before Him.
I am giving up all extracaricular internet activity at work. For some reason this is what I really felt to do and will be hard for me, but I wanted to post so you all would know I was okay or not being rude and ignoring. This means no blogging, no internet surfing, no reading blogs, no replying to emails.
We all chose a certain hour of the day to pray as well. Mine was 4am, this morning went good!
We are also wearing Blue ribbons for Bradley.
Things on our Prayer board last night:
Presbytery Meeting
Bradley and Family
Brother Raines and Family
Sister Brenda Dupre and Family
Unsaved loved ones
Backslidden Members
Brother and Sister Pruitt
I think that is all, keep those situations in your prayers.
Also June 17th @ TCOG in Antioch the benefit dinner for Bradley. If you want to purchase a ticket strictly for funds support or would like to come, let me know. If you have anything you want to donate for the silent auction let me know. Sgrplum1@hotmail.com. I will be responding to any e-mails for this matter.
I'm off for a week, God Bless each and every one of you.

****Disclaimer****
I guess my blog got snowed in, since the background was ALL WHITE when I came in this morning. GRRRR! I don't know what happened! I got mine from the same site as Jenna's so maybe it's something to do with the creator since hers went bad too.
Breaking News Alert, we apologize for this brief interruption and assure you, you will be returned to your regularly scheduled program soon. This just in, KASEY B. GETS COMPLIMENT AT WALMART LAST NIGHT AND TO TOP IT OFF, SHE HAS LOST 4 LBS!
That's right folks, I, ME, Moi, got a compliment last night. I always feel like this huge failure when it comes to representing Christ as I should. Well, lo and behold, last night I went to pick up my direct deposit slip last night and I got a compliment from the mean manager lady who hands them out. She looked up and said, "oh, it's the nice person" and even smiled! WHOA! She is like ALWAYS mean and sorta rude but I have tried to be really nice to her, she knows I go to church because she said something before about not wanting me to miss church. I couldn't tell at the time if she was making fun, but oh well. Anyway, I guess it kind of surprised me because she wasn't the one I expected to shine my witness to. I always think it will be the people who stand beside me in photo, but this time it was the person behind the scenes who maybe needs my smile the most. I don't know, but it was COOL! And, I got on the scale this morning and have lost 4 lbs since yesterday! My plan is really working!
And, to add to this super great califragilistic expialidocious day, I am super wifely and even put a meal in the crock pot this morning to have for dinner tonight. CHICKEN AND DUMPLINGS! With veggies in it too! YEE HAW
I have one bit of bad news. Please if you feel generous with your prayers, say a prayer for my kitty. Tigger Woods Broyles has an abscess. The dumby cat, though neutered, still likes to fight. Thus, he gets abscesses easily. The last abscess he got I had to take him to the vet it was sooo huge and I couldn't find a good enough scab to get it open to drain. It cost me 70 dollars. Holy lotta money batman! This time I found this one early, *not for the easily nauseated* picked the scab and let it drain and put peroxide in it. It wasn't to filled with puss, so it wasn't bad. Well, this morning I got the scab damp with a wash cloth and picked it off. The thing was FULL of puss and even flesh that came out. YUCK. I got a lot of it out, much to his dismay, he didn't like the squeezing and tried to bite and scratch me. Love you too boo boo. Anyway, I got a lot out and literally took the bottle of peroxide and poured it down into the hole. Its not a huge hole but you can look down into it (kinda cool if I do say so myself) bout as big around as the ink cartridge inside a writing pen. Anyway I looked at him before left for work and it was oozing a bit. Poor guy. He would scratch at it and would meow like when cats fight, dumby, if it hurts, don't scratch. Although itching means healing, which is good. He's mad at me though, I wouldn't let him outside with that, poor thing. Okay, just pray for little tigger boo.
Miracle #1, I got up before 5am this morning! Yee haw!
One last thing, my husband has finally saw the light. He's going with Verizon. Thanks for your prayers ;)

Georgia on my mind...
...okay, not really Georgia, but I have a lot of stuff on my mind right now.
I am irritated, aggrivated, yet at the same time thankful. Weird combination, but again I am weird, thus it works.
Tonight is grocery shopping night. I have my newspapers with coupons ready to clip. Tomorrow I guess we may be going to the Duke Fest if the weather permits for other things to work out with Damon's side work. Since Damon went with me to Ren Fest, I get to go to Duke Fest.
I am thankful for my jobs, I am where I need to be. God has them all worked out, all He asks me to do is be an example for Him while I am there. I can "work" while I work. Work for Him while I work for the world. If that makes sense. Many times I have wanted to do something different, but I have felt to "wait". My dream is to be a stay at home mom and home maker. But He has other plans for right now, I know that, and in whatsoever state I am in, I need to be content.
I have a lot to learn about God, who He is, who He wants me to be. I am not perfect, far from it. I mess up daily. I have faults that need to be ironed out and stains removed. Thank God He is so merciful. God I know I fail you, I am sorry, I am trying, and thank You for being patient with this imperfect piece of silver. I am trying, please help me to try harder. Thank You Holy Ghost. Jesus thank You for dying for me.
Here are some pictures I took last night in the car on the way home from the viewing. Some are edited to make the color better. Enjoy. Oh yeah, it was STORMING!
