  12. Love the house and the decor and especially the red door. I've always equated a red door to mean hospitality, but in researching it a little bit it seems mostly to symbolize the blood of Christ, which is why so many church doors are painted red--particularly the more orthodox churches such as Episcopal, Lutheran, Catholic, etc. Also I read that the red door symbolized sanctuary and safety. If someone was being chased and could make it through the doors of the church (which were painted red) they could find safety because the church was considered to be hallowed ground. Interesting, huh? I can't help myself...I'm a God-called teacher. Anyway, I suspect you'll enjoy regarding your red door as denoting your allegiance to Jesus Christ and the blood He shed for our sins; as a welcome sign to visitors; and as the home on the other side of the red door being a place of safety and sanctuary for body and soul. A red door is so much more than a paint color! :-)

  15. that neighbor cat reminds me of something I need to talk to you about...give me a call sometime soon when you're not working; I have a question for you about a different neighbor cat. (Oh and I love the door too! It was just the right touch to brighten up your home).
