Late
I am up late...decided to organize my "office" this evening. I had intended to clean the house in general, but sometimes you just need to organize. Tonight I accomplished that. I still have lots of boxes from moving. Things that for whatever reason I am keeping all in those little boxes. So, I went through a lot and grouped things together, some stuff like old magazines I am getting rid of. My closet looks so much better. I even decorated a bit in there, hung a few pictures, it looks so much more homey. Now it is really late, and I need to go beddy by. I didn't do a devotion today. That bugs me. And, it should. I prayed off and on at different times, but I didn't actually have a prayer and reading time. I would think, what if Jesus came back today. Ugh, I don't want to miss it. We have to be living right, and be ready every day. We means me. Today is a new day, a new chance to make it right by Jesus today. Well, (I have noticed I say "well" at the end of nearly every blog) good night!

ha.ha.ha.
I don't even know what to blog...but I need to do something or momma will be on to me. :)
It is 11:24 at night, and I am still awake. My house smells like Bacon. Yes, Bacon. I am making soup for a friend's daughter...and it requires...are you ready?? TWO pounds of bacon. ugh..I don't even wanna think about that fat and calorie count. Sho nuff is good though. It's my dad's recipe. He makes it with Salmon. I am not a salmon fan at all, but I will eat this soup. So good. He got it in Alaska from where he went fishing. And...I am glad he doesn't read the blogs (momma don't you show him) so that he would see me admitting to the fact that it really is good. haha. I am not a fish fan, and he is always saying its "chicken" so I will eat it. Though now I know it really is fish, not chicken. I wuv my dad...all he needs is Jesus, then he'd be perfect.
My feeties hurt. I am so glad tomorrow is Friday. I want to cherish each day, life is a gift, but the weekends are nice for relaxing too sometimes. :)
I am making my puppies a doggy bed for outside...dad built them a huge insulated dog house so now i need something cushy for the floor. To buy a dog house is soo expensive. So, I am making my own. Fleece was on sale at wally world, and I got some stiffer fabric to actually hold the cedar shavings, the fleece will cover that. The shape will be basically a huge pillow.
Well, I am tired. Guess what...no matter who is president, JESUS IS IN CONTROL!!

Tis the Season for Holiday Catalogs
Tis the season to receive catalogs in the mail. Every trip to the mailbox ends with an armload of slick holiday catalogs. Each one claims to offer me something I need—immediately. “Don’t wait!” “Limited offer!” “Order now!”
The lure works. I open the pages to discover what I didn’t know I needed. Sure enough, I see things that suddenly seem essential, even though a few minutes earlier I didn’t know they existed. Manufacturers use catalog illustrations to create desire for their products.
In a way, Christians are God’s catalogs. We are His illustration to the world of what He has to offer. His work in our lives makes us a picture of qualities that people may not know they need or want until they see them at work in us.
Jesus prayed that His followers would be unified so the world would know that God sent Him and loved them as God loved Him (John 17:23). When Christ is alive in us, we become examples of God’s love. We can’t manufacture love. God is the manufacturer, and we are His workmanship.
As you browse holiday catalogs, consider what the “catalog” of your life says about God. Do people see qualities in you that make them long for God? — Julie Ackerman
What does the world see in usThat they can’t live without?Do they see winsome qualitiesAnd love that reaches out? —Sper
As a Christian, you are “God’s advertisement.” Do people want what they see in you?

Goals
Tonight, I accomplished one of my super short term goals. I cleaned up my kitchen. I didn't get to the floors or anything, but I did organize some of my pantry, unloaded and loaded the dishwasher, and cleaned the counter tops.
I also went grocery shopping tonight. And, told someone God bless you. That's sort of a goal, I want to get better about bringing God into my daily conversation. I talked with the cashier tonight about church service and so on. I am not boasting...I hope it doesn't sound that way. But the Lord's return is so near, I need to be sharing more. And I don't need to make it hard either. I watched the video on Jessa's blog the Nicole C Mullen song I think is called "One Touch". Shew that song. I heard it a long time ago, but the message is still the same and so real, so true, so touching. Of course it would be, it's based off of one of the famous Bible accounts of the woman with the issue of blood. Back to goals right, tell more people about Jesus.
Third goal, to make a uplifting soul searching CD for a friend of mine who again, needs Jesus. I may say that a lot, but its my life. Without God I am nothing, I would probably be plumb crazy. That may be blunt, but it's true. To have lost my husband and not have had God, I believe I would be out of it this very moment. I have to be real, He is my all in all. I am absolutely nothing without God. Truly every day I need Him like I need air, food, water....God help me to go deeper. Anyway, back to the CD. I have a friend struggeling with some things that only God can deliver them from. I have been thinking of making them a CD of songs I have heard over a period of time that I felt would be a encouragement and light to their path to the Lord. Which, I believe they will find. I have faith in the prayers more than one of my friends have prayed for this person. So, I have been looking into songs, and hopefully will get the CD done this week.
Four...blogging. I have been slacking. So here I am. Not big goals, but goals none the less. Good night, love yall.

Been Awhile...
My mom asked me this evening, why I don't blog anymore. I said I do, she said soemthing to the effect of, well it's been awhile. So, here I am. Blogging.
It's been another crazy quick week. Currently I am sitting in my bedroom, and have a bit of a headache, but relishing the time to just relax. Work has been really busy this week, and my co worker has had a rough week. Her daughter has been in premature labor for awhile, and they keep giving her those shots to keep the labor from coming. She has been on complete bed rest for probably over a month. Well, she finally had the baby about a month early this past week. He was doing great, but then she got a call wednesday and took off shortly there after. I haven't seen her since wednesday, please pray for the little boy and the family. I am sure she would appreciate it. Friday was a big day at work. Everyone seems to really get into halloween there. I am not a big halloween fan, I guess its up to everyones own convictions. I did participate in my groups costume thing we were the 101 dalmations, so I wore ears and a collar. We did win best group. Then there was a big picnic at lunch time. I am fairly sure I consumed atleast 5000 calories that day...ugh. Okay, so I'm not really sure, but it definitely wasn't a calorie countin' day. Friday night we had a hallelujah fall festival at church. There was food and then games for the kids, it was nice to see some different ones from the public coming in. Those manning the stations were encouraged to dress up as a character in the Bible. My dad even came, praise the Lord. He and momma were Adam and Eve. They wore all black outfits, with the names adam and even on their tops. He dressed up, can you believe that. Whoa, I was surprised. I was queen esther. Reusing my juliette costume I had gotten for VBS at Antioch about three years back. It was a fun and long day. Today, we went to a baby shower for some friends of ours, and this girl is so cool. She is so put together, when I say that, I mean she is methodic in her actions and reactions. I am such a quick responder, sometimes not thinking things through. She is so just her, take her or leave her. She just such a joy to watch as a person. It is hard to explain, but I really feel such a sincere heart in her. It is such a blessing to see.
Tonight the BSU football game is on, 35-0 currently. So far they are undefeated!! Go Broncos! I really need to get this house cleaned. But currently lack motivation. Well, have a good night everyone. Jesus loves YOU!

Vote.
A week from now, we will be a short time away from finding out who the next President of the United States of America will be. I know the Lord's will, will be accomplished. This world is coming to an end in short order, and what's meant to be will be. I will be voting for McCain-Palin. Though I have seen quite a bit of fun being poked at Palin, to me she seems a fresh face who just needs some more PR experience. All of this is sort of over my head, but I really want McCain to win. I feel safer with him. Plus, they support the "big" issues I am for. I hope and pray they win, but know whatever is meant to be in this late hour before the Lord's return, will happen. So, go VOTE!

First things first
Happy Birthday to my wonderful Nephew, Michael Stephens. I love you and hope you have an amazing birthday!!!
Secondly, Happy Birthday to my awesome Cousin, Troy!!! I love you and hope today is one of the best birthdays ever!!!
Lastly....I got a new hair cut last night. I got a lot more layers added, but i like them. They aren't heavy layers, but fairly light and flowy. And my bangs are finally growing out, as is the zit on my nose, finally going away!

Chocolate Chip Banana Bread
I have two loaves a mini bowl baking in the oven. I am giving the two loaves away to neighbors, and the mini bowl (I didn't find a tiny loaf pan) is for me to make sure its okay first, without ruining the loaves. I didn't have enough banana's...:(...I thought that two would be okay, but they turned out to be TOOOOO ripe. So I only have 4 bananas, the recipe called for 6. And, I used a different kind of flower. I think its stone ground whole wheat or something. I don't know.
Also, I got my front and back yard mowed. WOOHOO! Thank the Lord!! I didn't know if I would have enough time, because it starts to get dusk around 7:15. I still need to trim the back yard, and prune the trees and bushes. But its a start.
Well, have a good night!

Red,Red,Red!!
I am painting my front door red! Woohoo! Pictures will follow when it is completed. As it is outdoors, it is oil based, thus taking a bit longer to dry. But, so far I am pleased with the color. I didnt want something too burgandy-ish, nor something to orangey. I guess if you have seen my couches in person, which most haven't it is fairly close to that. Kind of a ruby red, bright but not orange and definiately not burgandy. I only haveone coat on it at this point, so we will see if i like the finished product. :)

October 15th
Is the day my friend will give birth to her very first child. Please be in prayer for my friend Erin tomorrow as she goes into a C section around 8am MST. They have waited to find out the sex of the baby until the birth, which I think is so neat. I rodeoed with this girl, well we were rodeo queens at the same time, and since then she is one of the few I have remained in contact with. She has been a great friend, and I am so happy for her and her hubby. I have known him a long time as well. His grandparents lived next door to mine. Anyway, Happy Soon to be Birthday little baby!!
Today was much more autumn-ish,and much less winter-esque. YAY. I hope tomorrow is the same way. Tomorrow is CORN MAZE DAY!!! woohoooooo.
At work today, I had a good day. The Lord has been helping me with my frantic-ness, and I am thankful. It was just a pretty good day at work!
God is so good, and His mercy endures forever. I thank the Lord for His deliverance from all the things we let weigh us down.
I hope everyone has a good night.

brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
It is so windy and cold here!! The snow didn't stick in the valley, but the foot hills and mountains are covered. That is so cool to look out the window and see. Especially where I work, which is close to the foothills and a closer up view of the mountains, it was really pretty this morning driving back home.
I just got on one of the local news stations and it is 46 degrees right now, but the wind chill brings it down to 38 degrees. It is supposed to warm up by next weekend though, high is 70 for Friday. That is good. I just hope it is nice on Wednesday, I am going to the corn maze, and it would be nice if it was nice and fally, just not so wintery yet. :)
Have a good day, I am ready to watch a movie or something.

December??
We got our first snow today. Shew it was falling big and fast, but didn't start to stick right away because it was to warm outside. It was really slushy and just cold. I don't know if I have ever seen it snow in October. BRRRR.

Hi
This week has flown by again. Seems like that is all that happens anymore.
It is finally cold cold here in Idaho. We have been hearing the word "snow" in the weather forecasts for tonight. That would be pretty cool. Although, I do not relish the long commute in snow. I don't like bad roads. Fresh snow is fine, its not toooo bad, but at high speeds, eck.
Hoping to get my shed in place Sunday afternoon or Monday. It has been waiting at my parents until I get my space ready. I was going to put it at the back of my fence, but I think I have changed my mind.
I am painting my front door too, bright red. Not quite fire engine red, but not to far from it. I can't remember the name of the color, but I hope it turns out pretty. I need to do it soon before it turns rainy or to cold to dry. I am thinking this weekend.
Work is so so so busy. I sit down nearly all day, but come home physically tired. I am thankful for a job, just pray for me to keep my wits about me and work my hardest, and stay happy and joyful. Its possible with God. All things are possible with Him.
Good night, Jesus loves YOU!

Rain Rain Rain
Okay, so rain is good, and a blessing for the land, but I am ready for some sunshine! I am gettinga shed for my back yard and I am ready for my yard to dry up a bit so I can get it in here without tearing things up to much.
Today was a good day. Although I guess I should start with yesterday first. We (my family)celebrated my grandpa's 76th birthday and went out to a new restaurant in the area. My grandma also turns 70 today, their birthdays are very close. So we kind of celebrated both at the same time. It was fun. I got chicken curry, it was okay, but I wish I had gotten something else. Was fun to go somewhere new and be with the family though. Now to today. I got to see lots more family. We celebrated my Cousin Aubries first birthday. She got a doll that giggles when you squeeze it, and she would laugh back at it. SO cute. I hope she had a really good day. I got to see my cousin's Troy, Jennifer, Marissa, and Josh by marriage...and Aubrie...who is my cousin technically, but it feels weird beings she is so much younger, so I call myself Aunt Kasey. Josh (her daddy) told me to do it too, so its all good. She is so cute. I wish I had brought my camera so I could show some pictures. She really liked getting to eat her cake, which was all over her little hands, and surprisingly not to much was on her face!
I need to get off here now, but thank the Lord for a day surrounded by family. My dear family, I love you. May God lead and guide you and bless you as you bless Him. I LOVE YOU!!!

Missing Him
I miss Damon. A lot. I don't talk about it a lot because I don't want to come off as complaining or ungrateful or whatever. I am so blessed to have had him as my husband. I can't ever thank the Lord enough for giving me Damon. I know it was time for Damon to go home, and I am happy for him. I miss him though, a lot. I love my husband, and miss him. Say a prayer for me please. God has kept me, sustained me, and held me this far. He won't let go now.

Happy Friday
It's Friday, goodness, again! The weeks seem to fly by anymore.
I kinda had a rough day. Work is sooo so busy. And, to be honest, I didn't handle the stress very well. I would think from time to time, that I needed to check my attitude because my coworkers areseing my reaction, essentially my witness. Please just say a prayer for me, that I can better know how to handle the situations. I am so thankful for my job, the Lord has continued to provide for me and I don't want to grumble like I did today.
This weekend will be really busy, so I need to get to bed. We are celebrating my Grandpas birthday tomorrow evening, and my little cutie Cousin Aubrie's very first first first birthday on Sunday afternoon.
Watched Facing the Giants tonight, that movie is so great. Good night.

Time?
Has escaped me!! Seems like time flies anymore! I work sort of an odd shift and it puts me getting home a bit later, just seems to make my days fly by.
If you haven't read emily's LJ I actually got her hooked on a song. I am so "jazzed" about that as she would say. I am really impressed with the "new" old artist, Brandon Heath. I guess he is new to singing but from what I have read, has been writing songs for awhile. There is another group I am liking, Addison Road, and...the song Innocent by Stellar Kart. That song is so good. I have been listening to a new radio station, can you tell?? In Nashville I listened to the Southern Gospel station a lot, and the Fish, but here I haven't found a Southern Gospel station, and so I found this station and for the most part really like the songs. I sound repetitive. Next...
It was in the 80's today, to warm for almost October. I can hardly believe tomorrow begins October. Again, time flys...flies?? whichever.
Good night for now.

Pray On...
I really enjoy that song. It speaks to my soul. Sometimes you just want to flat give up on situations, people...etc...but you can't. If you quit praying, then what? What if someone gave up on you, where would you be today? God help me to pray on, even when I don't see my prayers being answered. God is always always always, on time.
Hmmm...I was thinking of typing something else, but it has left me. I guess I am drawing a blank on blogging lately. Not much has been going here. Just working a LOT. Which is a big blessing. I am enjoying my job, although Friday was sort of hectic. I felt like I made a lot of mistakes, which in reality there was only a few...but you still want to do your best ya know? It is getting darker earlier here. It's dark or pretty close by around 7:30 now. I miss the summer because it was light until around 9:30 or maybe a bit later. That was nice. But the autumn air is here, and oh so nice!! There is a corn maze not that far away, and I really want to go!! Something about corn husks, pumpkins, apple cider...all things fallish.
Well, time to clean the house!! Night yall.

I Don't Know About You..
...but yesterday was just one of those weird days. I struggled with just plain down-ness, but not like ultra depressive, just lightly melancholy I guess. Then when I got home, it seemed I had no patience. I was thinking later on that evening, how we are encouraged in the Advice to Members, not to act differently at home than we would in public. Would I want my co workers or neighbors to see the impatience I had last night?? The answer is no. As I was reading this morning's devotion, I wanted to share part of it with you all. I share it as a human being realizing I need all the help from the Lord I can get, because I am truly in need of His guidance and help. More of Him, less of me.

Heat
I turned the heat on this morning...the house was down to 68. Someone said night before last that it got down to 31 degrees. It doesnt feel that cold to me...but I like fall.
Please pray for me to get up earlier in the morning....because I go to work late, I get up around 7:15 to7:30. I ultimately would like to get up by 6:30. Which means going to bed earlier...and, if you would...I would like yall to pray I could get hired on in a different position to the earlier shift. It starts at 7:00 and gets off at 3:30. Thats the one, I would really like.
I still haven't made my pie, maybe tonight. Tonight I have lots to do. I need to mow my lawn, clean the kitchen..so on. I wish my house had a fire place. Wouldn't that be cool! Ultimale fall ambiance.
Well everyone have a good day! Love Jesus!

Randomness
This is the view I woke up to this morning...ahh...I am so thankful for this.
I thought this was cute, Abby and Tigger sleeping (sort of)
Bathroom pic with new paint...can't really tell the wall color to well.
This is the color scheme though.
Here's another bathroom pic, a little bit better for seeing wall color.
This is my beautiful buffalo chicken pizza. Damon was huge buffalo chicken fan, so that was one thing I learned how to make pretty quickly. This is a variation of it.Posted by Kasey at 7:30 AM 3 comments

Feel it in the Air?
The season of baking is on!!! Woohoo! I think I am going to attempt a cranberry apple pie. I was grocery shopping today and saw canned apple cranberry pie filling, I thought I could do that on my own...so I will attempt it soon. :)
I like my bathroom more and more...its kind of hard to get a good shot though...Its a light tealish/blue color, with chocolate brown accents. If that helps.
Thats it for now!

Yay!!
I have my outdoor fall decorations up!!! :) My interior colors are sort of fall'ish to begin with, so that is nice.
Tomorrow I am painting my bathroom....I had a color idea in mind...and I went and got some paint, and put a test up on the wall, I am not really enthused about it but maybe it will look different to have the whole bathroom painted. If I like it and get it all finished, I may post pics.
Well, thats it for now...have a great night.

Appreciate
Appreciate what you have, when you have it, try not to complain. I have been feeling that so much more these past couple of years, or atleast year and a half...we have really, nothing to complain about. I know life is hard...I know, but really our worst day is still a day to praise the Lord because each breath is a gift from Him. I know I have been saying this a lot lately, I guess it's just on my mind/heart. There were things I would ask Damon to let me be in charge of concerning our marriage...but in reality...I am so thankful now for the example he led in how he took care of everything. He was upright and saught the Lord for so much. I appreciate him.
The zuchini bread turned out grrrreat!!! Yumola.
I'm tired..honestly I think I was going to write something else, but I don't remember now...so, good night and I pray that each one of you that read my blog are blessed, comforted, and led by the Lord tonight.

Thank the Lord
I feel lots better. Shew...Sunday and Yesterday were rough. But today has been better!
I would blog, but I am feeling lack of motivation right now.
Tonight's service was a really heavy service, the topic was Hell. It was done in a way to show the love of God, Him not wanting us to go there and how Hell wasn't created for us. But how we make the decision whether we make Heaven or not. By our actions, living for Him. I know one thing, I want to GO TO HEAVEN. That means obeying the Lord in all that I know to do. I know the Lord will help me to do just that.
I guess I sort of just blogged...

Yard Work
I mowed my front yard today...first time in about three weeks. With it cooling down here it hasn't grown nearly as fast, but definitely needed it. I even weeded for awhile. I also need to mow the back yard. It's funny, or lazy..one of the two, but I think I have mowed both the back and the front of my lawn at the same time, maybe only 2-3 times. I seem to always mow them seperately.
Been fighting a sinus/cold issue lately, but feels sorta like I am on the upside of it now. Hopefully and prayerfully so.
I went to work today for some over time, so I was up pretty early for a saturday morning. Ready for a nap! But I am glad that I have a job where going in extra is a pleasant experience. I am very very thankful!! Another blessing, I got my oil changed and tires rotated...and I DIDN'T need an alignment. I thought I probably would because the place where I got my tires said I did. But the Chevrolet dealership said it was fine. YAY!
You can tell fall is coming here in Idaho. The air has a bit fo a colder snap to it, I really enjoy this time of year. I just need to put up a fall decoration on my front door and do my porch rails. I have my centerpiece on my coffee table all done up. It is sooo cute. I have pics, just haven't uploaded them onto here. I got these cute little decorative balls for my birthday, they are covered in little pieces of wood, or shells, and then I entertwined some old leaf garland and cinnamon sticks and its just cute. And cheap, thats always helpful.
Well, momma just called and my cousin and her hubby, and their uber cute baby is on the way, so I shall go.

No Words
This subject has been talked about quite a bit recently, at least I have noticed. I am talking about Thankfulness. This world is LITERALLY full of people who are lost and undone without God. Even as a Christian we sometimes tend to make it harder on ourselves by worrying, fretting, etc..but can you imagine living life without God?? I don't want to. Each human being in this world can reach out to God at some point, He is waiting with arms wide open. I pray that my friend and family, will accept Him soon. I am no better than anyone...seems like I fail more than I succeed sometimes...a lot of times. If you are reading this, God loves you...whether you are serving Him or not. He loves you and wants to be your All in All. Serving God doesn't mean your world will be perfect or easy, it just means God will be there through it all carrying you, instead of you carrying the world on your shoulders. I have lost my husband, I am a young widow, I am telling you I would be crazy if it HADN'T been for JESUS! God is real enough to feel, to breath in His presence...the night Damon passed away and I came home and everyone was waiting there at our house...there was a glow to that room. There was peace. No, everything wasn't peachy, everything wasn't great, in fact, it was horrible...BUT GOD WAS THERE TO HOLD ME IN THE PAIN. To hold Damon's family, and mine. I could almost see Him. I wish that I could make you see that Jesus is real. I wish I could bottle His presence and give you a sample so you could feel Him. I can't do that, all I can do is tell you what HE has done for me. I don't really know why I have went into all this...I guess it started because I have seen some things today to remind me of how much this world needs God to give them peace, to set them free from sin. God didn't have to show His love to me, but He did, and I am so grateful. He is trying to show it to everyone else too.

Thanks
Thanks for all the birthday well wishes! Yesterday was a pretty good day.
Even though I have only been working with the company I am at for about three weeks, they got a birthday card and had the department sign it and sent out an email about my birthday. They also had one girl bake something and bring for everyone to share in honor of my birthday. Isn't that sweet? I think so. Another girl in the office actually shares my birthday, except she turned 33. When I got back from lunch, which my Aunt Molly took me out to an asian restaurant, therewas a big bouquet of flowers on my desk from my mom and dad. It had Sunflowers, one of my favorite, gerbera daisies, little cream colored carnations, day lilies, and some other flower that I can't remember the name of.
When I got home from work last night, mom called me and said dinner was ready. So I even got dinner made for me. All in all, it was a pretty good day. I got lots of texts, my space comments, facebook wall posts, blog posts and comments, so thank you.
I hope everyone has a good day. Please pray, I have a special request for a friend of mine, they need the Lord to intervene for their soul. Thanks.

Twenty Six
So, the things that have happened in my twenty six years, and the things I have learned.
1. I was born and blessed with two amazing parents. Both have taught and influenced me in two completely opposite, but mostly awesome ways.
2. Rodeo and my horse Salty were my childhood. I feel that I learned a lot of responsibilty from this, taking care of my horses, cleaning my equipment, practicing, etc.. I am glad that this was a part of my childhood.
3. I still remember the summers spent riding bikes with my cousin's, going down to the creek and watching them spear succer fish with the end of a broken fishing pole, and waking the neighbor up to bring her her newspaper.
4. Life doesn't always turn out the way you planned, but you have to roll with the punches and praise God in all things, because ALL THINGS work together to the good of them that love God.
5. My Deendee made (and it will never change in my mind, I HIGHLY doubt it will anyway) the BEST pancakes on the face of the planet. She even got real Mrs Butterworths syrup.
6. Walking in a warm evening rain...is one of the most calming things to do.
7. I sang a beach boys song for my Senior English class assignment, in front of the class. SO embarassing.
8. Time does NOT make pain go away, it only makes it less frequent and more bearable.
9. I got my drivers licenst at age 15, but "back then" Idaho law said you had to be 16 to drive at night...so, I drove to a friends house only to be picked up by my not so enthused mom that evening, because I didn't think ahead and realize I wouldn't be back before dark.
10. People come in and out of your lives, they affect you in different ways. You determine whether they affect your life to the good or the bad, and you also determine how you affect THEIR life, to the good or the bad. So live honestly, and wisely, and completely.
11. To the best of your ability, live your life with no regrets. Tomorrow is not guaranteed and each day is A GIFT from God. Whether you recognize it or not.
12. My dad was and is the "great white hunter" and I enjoyed being his side kick on hunting trips. I shot and killed my first and only elk at age 14 on a tag hunt in the month of December. I would really enjoy going hunting again.
13. I now like hot sauce, and buffalo chicken because of my husbands love of nearly all things spicy.
14. I cherish the memories of the boys coming down to the house, all three of them, spending the night and crashing on the floor and couch ending up in all different ways and directions by morning.
15. I loathed the chores mom made me do growing up, BUT now as an adult I understand why she had me to them. AND, further more I now appreciate it.
16. Jesus is and will always be the Answer to everything. At age 16 He became the keeper of my heart. Thank the Lord!!
17. Marriage centered around Jesus, is one of the greatest gifts you can ever recieve in life.
18. Heaven WILL be worth it all.
19. I remember riding my moms horse Leo up the pasture hill at a lope then falling off on purpose once I reached our dry lot...I thought it was fun.
20. I am so glad for good friends. Thank the Lord for them.
21. The south holds a special place in my heart.
22. I am thankful for Damon's family, I have learned a lot from them. I LOVE them.
23. Never give up on prayer, even if you don't see results immediately. Someone's situation or soul could depend on you, GOD IS ALWAYS ON TIME!
24. Time passes so quickly, years go by in the blink of an eye. Cherish each second as much as you can. It's hard to remember that somtimes though.
25. Damon took me and Honey on a paint job with him, I think to goodlettsville, well the house had an abundance of frogs outside. Honey wanted to eat them...lol. Or chase them, whatever the case, apparently frogs have an acid on their skin that does not permanently harm, but made honey literally foam at the mouth, in mass proportions. It freaked me out, but eventually she was all better. I loved those times, going on painting jobs with him.
26. As I turn 26, I want to bless the Lord, live FOR Him, grow IN Him, and face each new day with thankfulness in my heart.

HEEEEEEEEEEY
So I get to be 26 soon. Is it bad to have a hard time with getting older. I feel bad, because I want to be thankful for each day. I guess it is just a mental adjustment. I ordered a cake, well told mom what i wanted, and she ordered it. Red Velvet with Cream Cheese icing. YUM.
My tire on my bike had gotten some goat heads in them (I don't know if the south has goat heads...I don't know that I ever saw them) which are a really hard point sticker about the size of a pea with usually about three to four thorn like things coming out from all different ways. Anyway they had "slimed" my tires and yes that's the term the bike shop used, so when i pulled the goat heads out the slime filled the hole to seal it up. But, apparently to much got out before the slime worked. I was a bit scared to use Damon's air compressor because I didn't want to overfill the tube to quickly, but I read the PSI that the tube could handle and let the tank get some pressure then filled it in little incriments checking the pressure as I went. I was proud of myself and I didn't blow anything up.
Well, I guess I am going to get off here, and change the background...yuck, I don't like it anymore.

Reminiscing
So, I bought a cookbook recently called Tennessee Heirlooms (or something like that), and I was reading through the recipes last night...well, it just made me miss Tennessee. That place carries so many wonderful memories for me, and some very hard ones. I wish Damon was here, but I can't change the fact that God called him home, it was the Lord's will, and in all honesty as much as IIIII want him here, I know God has a bigger picture. The south has it's southern ways, traditions, that are so old feeling. So deep. I like how when you go through the drive through the lady helping you will call you baby or honey or sweetie no matter if young or old or male or female. As I was thinking about how I missed Tn last night, I wondered what the deep longing was tied to, just because I am a thinker I guess...it's because in TN is all things Damon. Our memories, where we shared our life, his family...For so long I was sad in that place, because I had to learn to let go of my old life like the Bible talks about, give up clinging to everything I once was, and cling to my new life as Damon's helpmeet. Once I did that, and it was a slow process, I really bloomed there. I am deeply blessed for my time there, for my time as Damon's wife. I truly could not have asked for anyone better, more wonderful, than the man God gave me. He truly was the greatest husband ever.
I can't help but feel I am in a new phase of life, with moving back home to Idaho. I will always love, remember, think of, cherish my sweet Damon. But I know that I have to grow in a new way now, the bible talks about everything having a "time."
I pray that God will bless you, wherever you are, as you first bless Him. Learn to thank Him for something you have, before you pray for something you don't. Hard thing to do sometimes, but the victory comes in the praise. Pray for me, that I too will praise Him more, and be more thankful. Love you all.

Here I go
I got tagged!
Here’s how you play:
Once you have been tagged, you have to write a blog with 10 weird, random things, facts, habits, or goals about yourself. At the end choose 10 people to be tagged, listing their names and why you chose them. Don’t forget to leave them a comment (you’re it) and to read your blog. You can’t tag the person that tagged you. Since you can’t tag me back, let me know when you’ve posted your blog so I can see your answers.
1. I didn't tell Wendy happy birthday, that is why I was tagged. So Wendy, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! haha. Sorry I didn't tell you earlier! That camera is awesome, btw.
2. I am discovering more and more, how lazy I am. Example: I don't want to brush my teeth at night because of the extra time it takes...but I make myself do it.
3. I just got a new bike, and my first big goal is to make a 40 mile ride. I have only made it about 6 miles so far.
4. My birthday is coming up, September 8th, and turning 26 scares me because it makes me feel old. But then I feel like I need to be thankful for each day...so I try not to let it get me down.
5. I sleep with my table light on, the fan going, and a little house on the prairie dvd playing nearly every night.
6. I love the smell of wood cutting, i.e. diesel, oil, wood shavings. (my dad cuts the wood for the fireplace to keep their house warm during the winter)
7. The greatest years of my life, were spent as Damon's wife. I truly miss my best friend.
8. I prefer sandals, and do NOT like socks. Only wearing them out of necessity, yuck...barefoot is even better, unless you are outside and its got stickers that will hurt your feeties. But, I digress.
9. My favorite color is blue (or blue family), but I like decorating my house in mainly warm fall colors. I.e. reds oranges, browns, golds.
10. Even though I am a girl, I really don't like chocolate much (by itself). I have to crave it to like it.
**for extra, thinking of the chocolate thing reminds me, I only like chocolate chip cookies that use MILK chocolate chips. Sure, I will eat the other kind, but they aren't as good!
I tag:
Sara- just because
Emily- to see if she will really do this.
Tam- cus her answers will be interesting.
Morgan- so she will blog. ;)
Becki H- because ;)
Becky (my neighbor) cus she is the best neighbor ever. Altho, I think she might have already done this.
Yvonne- because I love her and want to see if she will do this.
thats about it...

Cookies
I made cookies last night. Because I go to work so late in the day, that means I don't get home until the evening...so, I made cookies around 10pm'ish last night. I took a recipe from the WMB Cook Book and tweeked it a bit. One because I didn't have vanilla extract (I keep forgetting to buy more) so I used almond, and two because I wanted chocolate chip cookies. The recipe was easy sour cream cookies. They are pretty good and fluffy. I really like gooey cookies, but dont know how to get that. Mine are either flat or fluffy, never gooey. Any suggestions??
Man, we had a storm here yesterday. Coming home on the freeway last night, you could see where the storm was, it was so dark and just weird looking. I wondered if maybe there was a tornado, but there wasn't. It was super windy though, so I unhooked the sides of my canopy so it didnt blow away.
Well, another day to praise the Lord, need to get off here and get ready for work. I like saying that...:)

A Little Encouragement.
The great cathedrals of Europe are not only breathtaking but intriguing in their architecture. Because their massive ceilings were too heavy for the walls to support, flying buttresses, or external extensions, were built to support the expansive roofs.
Although we are “the temple of the living God” (2 Cor. 6:16), I wonder if we are not more like these cathedrals, with buttresses of external influences holding us up while we remain weak at the core. Pastors, friends, rules, books, and small groups are helpful to support and bolster our faith. But if we depend too heavily on them, they can actually distract us from developing a healthy heart for God.
Our heart is the place where God meets and relates to us personally. It’s where He allows us to respond to His correction. Spending time in His Word and in prayer opens the door for Him to interact with us at the deepest levels of our need and gives Him opportunities to comfort and convict. As we open our hearts to Him, He fans the flame of an intimate, life-changing relationship.
Authentic Christianity is the inside-out expression of this dynamic relationship with Jesus that provides the strength to live for His glory—regardless of what is happening on the outside! — Joe Stowell
Speak, O blessed Master,In this quiet hour;Let me see Thy face, Lord,Feel Thy touch of power. —Grimes
When you open your heart to the Savior, He opens your mind to His Word.
Psalm 131
1Lord, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.
2Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child.
3Let Israel hope in the LORD from henceforth and for ever
Remember to pray for me today...I am almost as nervous as my first day. I know am able through Christ to do all things.

Hey!
I didn't meet my goal. I wanted to make chocolate chip cookies this weekend. The weekend has FLOWN by. UGH. This is seriously the quickest weekend I have had in so long. Maybe I could still get a batch in tonight...who knows...I need to clean the house too. I guess I shall tackle that tomorrow evening. Speaking of tomorrow, PLEASE pray for me. Tomorrow is my first day on my own. Of course I will have people there to help me, but my trainer will be officially training on something else. So, he won't be there to help me. I have grown somewhat attached to the help, okay very attached. I am scared to branch out on my own and do my job. Scared to mess up...so, please, just pray I do well and remember everything and don't have to ask to many questions. Love to you all.

Memphis
Yesterday, on my lunch hour, My Aunt and I tried a restaurant called Memphis. Soul Food. I have to say...YUM. I felt like I was in the south again, as far as food goes. I got the Black Eyed Pea Casserole...description: a stratum of fragrant tomato sauce, Italian sausage, jalapenos, sweet cornmeal and beans with black eyes. I took that from a online web review, but it also had beef in it I think. Whatever it was, it was yummy. Then for dessert, I had a fried peach pie. I dont normally like peach pie...I like the flavor of peaches but the texture kinda, well, I just don't like it. But this was so good. They had mashed the peaches up so they werent stringy, but just yummy. I would really like to make going there a once a week thing, because I so miss soul food. Idaho cooks differently, yes its probably more healthy, but southerners- shew they know how to cook some good food. haha The owners are originally from Memphis too, which helps!
I am really enjoying my job, it has gotten better and better. I think I will like it. I will still need to get used to parking and getting home later, but other than that I think I will continue to like it. Praise the Lord!
I was so lazy this morning, ugh. I woke up then went back to sleep...not getting out of bed until 11:30 ish. Each day is a gift, we will never get it back. I don't want to waste anything the Lord gives me. I know sleeping in occassionally is okay, but I don't want to make it a habit. :)
Well, momma is almost here, and I need to get ready. I am thinking of doing some baking today, and house cleaning. Love yall.

Cracker Barrel
Cracker Barrel, YUM! There arent the amount of Cracker Barrel's out in Idaho yet, as there are in TN, so this mornings breakfast was so yummy. To top that off...I got to share it with.....the.....are you ready....
SUTTONS!! Thats right, Brother and Sister Sutton were bringing there van back from Seattle and got their hotel in Boise, which is the city where I work. So I got up a bit earlier, and met them for a great breakfast! It was so good to see them! My Aunt, who I carpool with, met up for breakfast as well!
After a great breakfast...I had the best day at work I have had so far. I was learning how to do waybill releases, and it was so much more interesting than some of the other days. I met up with my Aunt again for lunch at Moon's cafe. I got home tonight, and feel just wore out...or lazy. I have discovered I am a lazy person. I don't know when I got so lazy, but I want the Lord to help me with this...watching one of my Love Comes Softly series movies, sounds good right now. Who knows...but anyway, thank You Lord for a day that was a great day. Help me to praise You and honor You daily. I want everyday to please Jesus, I know I fail a lot, but I want to do my best. Love you all, have a great evening.

Bad Dreams
I know there's a lot going on with everyone, but please pray for me. I had bad/sorta scary dreams and it really has me down. Last night I had such a calm and peacefulness, and now I am just bothered. I know I can maintain it by just giving it back to the Lord. Please pray for me. For all of our loved ones that need the Lord.
I hope everyone has a good day.

Report
So i had my first day at work. It went fairly well. The environment seems much more laid back and the guy who is training me is really funny. I will be taking his position because he is moving elsewhere in the company. I work with another girl who used to work with my mom. It's kind of weird how small the world really is sometimes. My Aunt met me for lunch at Pollo Reys, YUM. That is one thing that is really nice about being downtown, you can walk to so many places that are within five minutes. I will need prayer and patience and direction finding parking that is affordable and close. The drive, with the times I start and leave, is only about 25 minutes, so thats not to bad. Tomorrow, I am carpooling with my Aunt and Uncle. So, we will see how that goes! Thanks to all who prayed for me. Today, was spent just mainly watching what was done. Tomorrow I will be doing one of the main functions myself, with my trainer watching. SO, hopefully that goes well.
Pray for Autumn's surgery tomorrow.

Nervous
I start my new job this morning...I am nervous. I know that normal. Please just pray I do well and that I like it, and that I catch on, and that I can FIND PARKING. I will be working downtown...so, I need to find everyday parking. Anyway...more than anything I want to understand and just step into what I am supposed to be doing.

Wisdom
They say gray hair means wisdom, so my daddy's getting very wise! Tomorrow's his birthday. AWWW. Happy Birthday Dad!
We went out tonight with the Adam's Family, yes that's there name...:) for a birthday dinner. Tomorrow my grandparents are hosting a birthday dinner for him. He is so hard to buy for. I have no idea what to get him. Well, I have idea's, but nothing seems just right. Hopefully I will figure something out.
I made a frappe tonight, go me. :) Frappes are expensive..well any coffee is expensive if you buy it at a starbucks, or here the more popular is Moxie Java, which I prefer. Simply because their coffee has a different taste. HAHA, a Moxie Java commercial just came on! Well, anyway as I was saying...frappe's (particularly their caramocha frappe...mmmmmm) are expensive and LOADED with calories. A 24oz has over 700 calories. SHEW. So I have been experimenting at home. With some help of my coffee friends and my momma, I am getting better. Tonights flavor is Caramel, Chocolate...so yah I guess a Caramocha. I mixed Hazelnut coffee, Ice, Ice Cream (which I don't normally add), Caramel flavored syrup, milk, nestle quick powder (moxie has a powder they use...and I don't know what it is...so I got nestle quick), and some of my chocolate caramel creamer. Its yummy, altho it probably still has 700 plus calories :( Oh well, I am not drinking a 24 oz, so it's not as bad! :)
Pray for me, I am nervous about starting my job on Monday.
Continue to pray for Autumn's complete healing.

This was a tree at my grandmas sister's house....i thot it was cool
same tree. :)
Here are the apricots I picked, they are in a grocery bag...and I just thought the lighting was cool.

Sore!!
Ouch! :) I got my Canopy set up tonight! All by myself. Well, me and Jesus. Cus' I was praying to get that final piece to work for me. I will have to take pictures tomorrow and post for everyone to see!! (altho, that may not happen, as I am HORRIBLE about that, and get lazy!) It looks sooooooooooooo cute. I am a bit sore from trying to maneuver it and put everything together, but am so pleased with the final outcome! God be with you all!

Flies
I got flies in my house. YUCK. I had a little BBQ last night and the sliding glass door kept getting opened to go in and out to the patio (which is fine, I wanted to leave it open) but now...I have FLIES.

The Details
So you all want job details...I will be working for a shipping company, I don't know if I can say the name because they have a lot of government dealings...so I don't want to get in trouble.
My hours are 9:30-6 PM with lots of over time if I want it. It's in the logistics field, which I have done for 6'ish years. Its in downtown Boise, the old part, which is kind of neat. Very historic and quant. I will like it, except the drive and parking garage stuff. My wage is the highest I have ever made. Which is great. Will help with the extra gas mileage. I start Monday! Right now I am a temp, but will be hired on in time if I do well with company. I have heard at that point that there benefits are amazing. If I am interested in 401 K they contribute 10% which I understand is very good.
In other news....I got some patio furniture today. I prayed before I left, because I wanted to find something I liked, but didn't break the bank. I found something at home depot that was soooo cute. I really liked it, but it BROKE the bank. I thought what would Damon think...and his answer woulda been it was to much. So I moved on. My very last stop of like 5 or 6 stops, I found furniture. They had their outdoor furniture at already clearance prices, then took an additional 50% off of that. I found a canopy thing...that was so cute and decorative!! I have wanted one of these for a long time...and really liked one at another store, but couldn't bring myself to spend the money they wanted for it. Though this one is different, its soooooo cute!! And I got a set of really good quality chairs for 1/3 of the regular price. They are in my favorite color family...blue...but more turquoise. OH MAN, praise the LORD! Now I just need to find a table and fire pit. In time...and when prices drop more!!

A week or so...
So I have a temporary job for a week and a half'ish. I have an interview tomorrow for a permanent position...it's quite a commute. But the Lord knows. God knows about all of this...I am feeling very low right now. About several things, but things could be worse. Very worse as my dear friend says. I am trying to praise the Lord in all things...I know that sadness is an emotion the Lord gave us, we can use it to grow...or we can use it to wallow. I want to grow from it. There is a song that just came to mind, "through it all, I learned to trust in Him". I think those are the words...not sure.
Please pray for my interview tomorrow, and the one I had last week. I still haven't heard from them. THAT would be my ideal job, atleast I think...God knows the end from the beginning. But I still want it, Lord willing.

Shampooin/Cleanin/Applyin
Thats what I have done this morning. Shampooed my couch, cleaned it...whatever you call it. I used my little cleaner machine. I been vacuuming, and straightening the house. I started yesterday, need to finish today. In between all of that, I have been applying for jobs. There isn't as much out there as when I first moved here. I am trying to just be patient, but for a person like me, thats hard. I need to do my part by applying, God help me to do my part.
Tomorrow morning, I need to get up early and mow the lawn. Before it gets hot. It hasn't been to bad for August yet. August is usually 100-107 degrees...I think yesterday it was in the mid 90's, so it really has been mild. I can't believe its August already. Time is flying.
Well, I hope everyone has a good day.

Interivew Results
It went fairly well I thought...only a few bobbles. I don't feel I rambled nearly as much. They said this was the first step of interviews, that the top two or three would come back for a second interview. I was told, if I am selected for the 2 nd round, I will find out sometime next week. The job sounds interesting, and honestly..right up my allie. So, we shall see.

Thanks
Thanks for those who are praying, today at 10:30 Mountain Standard Time, which is 11:30 Nashville Time (central), I will be in my interview Lord willing. It's really close, about 10 minutes from my house, and in the edge of the country...heading out of town. Well, anyway...Just wanted to remind you all again, please pray. I know God will take care of me.

Freezer Jam
I decided not to dry the apricots...and just make freezer Jam. Though I love the idea of being domestic, and like the finished product, the middle part gets to me. And, the apricots had gone way downhill, just from yesterday. So I blanched them then peeled the skins off and depitted them, then squished it all, strained the juice and added the freezer jam pectinc stuff and splenda. I think I might regret the splenda part. Real sugar just tastes better. All that work and one messy kitchen later, I got two 1.5 quart containers of apricot freezer jam. I think thats the measurement, not sure...Hopefully it will be good.

Guuuuuuuuuuuuess WHAT?!!
I have an interview WEDNESDAY!! I applied to this job such a long time ago, about a month I guess...before I ever got laid off. I thought they weren't interested. But, woo hoo. Larry called me this morning, so at 10:30 Wednesday morning...I will be in an interview. Pray I don't ramble...I am a rambler when I try to be myself, but impress. blech. I am SO excited. Not to mention...this is with a seed company, which means agriculture...farming, which fits with my college career test. SO, it might be something I could get a go in. Oh yes, I DID email BSU here, hopefully I can get something started soon.

Flattery
So, I noticed Erika's super cute blog...then Caetie's...so I hope you all don't mind, that the finest form of flattery has been bestowed upon you. In the form of copying...lol. Erika seems to find all of the coolest templates, they always hide from me, so thanks for having a cute blog!

Officially Official
I didn't get the job I interviewed for. I received an email today. Onto other things. God will not shut one door, without opening another. I just need to remember that, and TRUST.
Today, was spent with family...my Grandmother called me on Friday evening asking me if I wanted to come to her family's family reunion. Short notice, but I sort of thought I needed to go. SOOOO....its a long drive to where they live, about 2 and a half hours, so I was trying to find people to ride with me. Mom and I will be out of town next weekend too, because of a wedding that is far away, so she didn't want to be gone two weekends in a row. So I got a hold of my cousin from my other side of the family, and she went with me. Made the trip much more easy. I was blessed and thankful to spend the time with her. Though I didnt know 1/3 of the people there, I went to show my grandmother that I cared about her and loved her and wanted to be a support. So, now I am home...and today has been a lot of driving.
I picked a bunch of apricots while at the reunion, so I want to make some jam, and freeze some apricots to eat. Anything home grown, tastes so much better. Maybe its because its allowed to reach ripeness.
Pray for me, I am going to be applying to and calling more places tomorrow.

College??
So, I took a career test...to be honest some of the answers were not surprising at all...others were. MY LEAST liked profession...clerical?? Go figure...I didnt expect that, since thats what I do. So...now I need to talk to an advisor, and see what kind of positions there are in my top picks.

Understanding Your Lowest Interest Scores
Scores below 30 are considered "low scores" and are just as important as high scores. Low scores do not necessarily mean you lack skill in these areas; rather they indicate a lack of interest or dislike for certain activities. You will be happier if you avoid professions that require you to perform tasks for which you have little interest. Understanding what jobs to avoid can save you time and prevent costly career or educational mistakes.

Your lowest interest score was on Clerical. You're not likely to be fulfilled doing routine office work that involves filing, record-keeping, word processing, operating office machines, attending to details, and other repetitive office tasks. You also showed low interest in Assertive, so you wouldn't be fulfilled working in situations where you were frequently required to assert authority over others, and to direct and monitor their work. Your low score on Systematic means that you dislike routine assignments in which order and persistent, steady effort are required. Job security is not so important to you. Plus, you can tolerate frequent schedule changes and situations in which you must make quick decisions.

ugh
I need to post pics from TN. I had such a wonderful, sad, amazing, ponder-ative-time. I guess its weird to compile those words in describing one thing/place/event, but its how I feel. I looove TN because its a part of my life with Damon. I have many wonderful memories of our life together. Yet, it also reminds me that he and I are no longer together. He is in Heaven, and I am here. So, it brings many feelings, but in the end I am so blessed and grateful (greatful?) that I was able to go. NOW, if I could get the motivation to go get the camera chord and post some pictures. :)
I rode my horse again last night. I was riding her bareback again, with just the halter and leadrope. Well, I was riding her back to the pasture on the pavement, mind you she was a bit more energetic this night, and I was carrying two
FLYMASKS (one very similar to this, and another which also had ear protectors, these keep the flies/insects out of the horses eyes, and it is made of a net material that you can see through) when I remember to pray that I would be safe...my horse is tall and the pavement is hard. So while trying to stay on and carry stuff aboard my uber fun, pretty, and extra energetic horse, I noticed she started to stare at a certain area. Meaning...she was a little bit anxious as to what it was...meaning, she could scare at it and dump me on the ground. Well, sure enough, her fears came to life and she sort jumped to the side from whatever she was trying to avoid. Thank the Lord, I held on and didnt fall off. I love being with her and taking care of her, its wonderful. Thank the Lord for my horsey.
Well, I haven't heard anything on the job :( so I guess it isn't good. Oh well, though I REALLY wanted it, it must not be God's will for me right now. I hope you all had a great day.

Thoughts for Today
When all the pictures of our life are laid on the table,
they will reveal our recurring words and actions.
What story will they tell?
It’s worth considering as we make our choices each day. — David C. McCasland
God has given life abundant—
Live it fully every day;
Though our time on earth is fleeting,
He goes with us all the way. —Hess
It’s not how long you live that counts, but how you live.
Look up Psalm 90
We all have things were are going through right now. Some may seem bigger than others, but to us each of our trials are of huge importance. God be with all of you right now.

Job Interview
I had my job interview today. It seems it went fairly well, the benefits and pay are wonderful, but God knows. Do you ever feel like you RAMBLE?!?! grrrrrrr It's in education, like what I did in Nashville, so thats cool, because I enjoyed it for the most part.
Pray for me, I need direction in a certain area of my life. The Lord knows, I just want to be in His will.
Still need to post pics...right now, I am headin to momma and daddy's.

Quick Trip
I was blessed to be able to return to Tennessee for a short weekend. It was Em's big birthday bash, so I decided to surprise her. Will post pics on that later, I am tired...and its 1 am and I have to be to work in 7 and a half hours. I am so so so thankful I got to go this weekend. I missed my nephews, I wish I could have seen Michael. But it was good to hug and kiss Zac and Noah. I got to see my lovely sister in law, and bound to make you smile brother in law, my wonderful Mom in law, and Dad in law....I got to see the people I used to work with. It was just a great short weekend. I visited my sweet Damon's grave. Being back there brought back so many memories...good, but hard memories. I truly miss my husband. I got to see my amazing church family. I love them, and was thankful to be back with them for a service. My and Mo hung out for a while, that child...young woman....she is so funny. I am just so happy I got to go to tennessee!!! It was bittersweet. They buried Lolo today, and I feel for Melvin and her son and the whole family. Just pray for them. I drove the old ways to different places, it's hard to believe Damon isn't right there with me, well, me there with him. I love him, always. I love you Tennesee, and all those in that state that hold a piece of my heart. God speed.

Laundry Queen!
I am SO proud of myself. HA! There are a few things, i.e chores, that are not my favorite. Laundry and dishes. I am thankful I have laundry to wash and dishes to eat off of, so I don't want to complain too much, but those are just two things that aren't my cup of tea. I don't mind cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting...so on. But last night and today I have folded about 4 loads of laundry. GO ME. What is actually weirder, or would it be more weird?? Anyway, is it was almost relaxing. WHOA...I know something strange is going on now. Seriously.
Abby and I went on another bike ride tonight, she did really good. I am proud of how good she is becoming. She still gets a bit sidetracked over barking dogs, but for this only being her second biking trip I say she is doing pretty good. I realized the other night, I haven't taken a picture of my horse and put it on here. So after Annie gets a bath, everyone will get to see her. I love her a lot. Last night, I brought her from the pasture to mom and dad's and brushed her down, then got her tail and mane all combed out, picked her hooves out so they were clean. Yes I "picked" her hooves out. The tool you use is called a "hoof pick" and they look similar to THIS . After that I sprayed her down with fly spray so she wouldn't be bothered so much, then I hopped up on her bareback. Okay, so I didn't hop...I used the fence....but I got on her bareback and rode her around a little bit then rode her back to the pasture. I was so proud of her, because I haven't ridden regularly for so long, she is very heard bound with the other horses. If she is away from them, but can hear them whinneying (is that how you spell that) she acts silly and prances around, wanting to get back to them. But you could tell she was enjoying the time I was spending on her, and even behaved herself as we were walking towards her buddies. Thank the Lord for my horsey. I have a picture of Damon on her, I think its on her, or maybe its Butchy, our other horse. :)
My birthday is coming up soon, I will be closer to thirty than twenty...ugh...I am thinking 26 is going to be a hard age for me. Every day is a blessing from God, I guess its just a mental thing of feeling "old". I am wanting to go somewhere for my birthday, not sure where though.
Oh and please pray, I have a job interview on Monday in the education field, which is what I did in Nashville. It sounds like a great job, God knows my needs, just pray all goes well. I am thankful to have a job right now, but I am struggling with it, and God knows my heart. I want to be thankful for everything I have, not complaining.
Please pray for Lolo's family, especially Melvin and her children. God is able to keep them and hold them right now. There are many others suffering right now, Buster's family, Lance's Family, Megan and Ricky's Family, just pray for them all. Love you guys.

Tuesday Night
What to blog...what to blog...
Well, I got Damon's bike all fixed up. Not that it was messed up to begin with, but it hadn't been ridden in a long time and so mom found a guy on craigslist who does bike repair. He fixed the tires and basically tuned it up. So tonight, Abby and I had our first training session. I eventually want her to be one of those super cool dogs that runs beside their master on the bike, flawlessly, and gets a great work out and pays attention to the road ahead not getting sidetracked and stopping at everything. Tonight started out a bit rough, but by the end of the short ride (one time around a little loop in my neighborhood) she was doing GREAT!! I was super proud of her.
Mom gave me her bread oven, so tonight, if I have time, I may give her a try. I have made home made bread before and it was good, but Damon and I didn't eat bread quick enough so it molded. He didn't like bread that had been frozen, since I don't mind bread that has been frozen I can make a bunch up and freeze it. Thereby saving mula. Which Damon would be proud of me for doing. :) I am also going to attempt biscuits, because i had the grand idea, which I stole from Rachel I believe, to make breakfast sandwiches that I can freeze, then just pop in the microwave in the mornings.
thats it for now...goodnight. Jesus loves you and likes you!

Though, not really a game, just a interesting thing to do...enjoy.
Memories:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that we had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot; anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. Have Fun!

Friday, YAHOO!
Friday and Saturday are my two favorite days of the week. Tonight we had dinner with family friends, they grilled ribs, and had beans, salad, and oriental salad (momma made)and juice water. I am a new fan of juice water. Instead of drinking straight juice, which I love love love juice. Okay like...you mix it with a 1/4 water or half water, less calories but still juice. YUM
Tomorrow I need to mow my lawn, and want to go swimming at mom and dad's. I got my new book off ebay today, or was it yesterday, yea yesterday. I am excited to start it. Ebay books are way cheaper. I am into the whole amish story line. Have even looked into going to Lancaster County, wouldn't that be awesome. Damon would shake his head and smile at me...hehe. I miss him, shew he was so loveable huggable kissable, unbelievable. Okay so I stole a line from a song. If you read this Tammy Hart...you're so vain...the first movie Damon and I watched together when we first met, at the Branscum home, was How to Lose a Guy in 10 days...ha, not the greatest movie, but that song stuck with us.
Guess that is it, goodnight everyone.

Feels Different
I am feeling weird lately, emotionally. I really just need prayer. I know time makes things better, never easier, but the pain is less frequent. I MISS Damon, naturally. My life feels sort of empty? Is that okay? I want God to be my all in all, so am I failing? Or is the part He created when He said it wasn't good for Adam to dwell alone, is that the part that feels empty?? I don't understand my emotions. I miss Damon so much. Life is good, I have many blessings, family near, a new home, health, I am deeply blessed. God has saw fit to reveal so many things to me, and I am a child of the KING, PRAISE THE LORD. So is the emptiness normal? I don't want to be lacking Him or failing in anything. I miss life with Damon, everyday life, everything about him. I need prayer, understanding, and kind advice.

Encouraging Thought Today
"When I consider all the wonderful things that God does silently on my behalf each day, I realize that my list of praises should be much longer than my list of petitions."
Isaiah 25: 8-98He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it.
9And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

Naptime
Yesterday after morning service, I came home and took a nap. A BIG nap. I slept for about four hours I guess. So much so, that I thought 7 was 6 and my mom came looking for me saying they had been in service for an hour and she was worried about me. I said, its 6 o'clock, she said no it isn't. Sure enough, I don't know what I did...but I guess I slept to long and got confused. So last night, I went to bed around 11:45, and laid there until after midnight. Then I woke back up shortly after 1 am, I know sometime ater 3 am, I think I woke up 3-4 times. I didn't think my big nap would affect my sleep THAT much, so I have learned a lesson. I will try to avoid that long of a nap in the future.
It's supposed to be hot today, 95. Not as hot as it has been, but then a cold turn came on for a few days, where it was in the mid 80's (SO NICE in July). So it will take an adjustment to get back to the heat.
Mom and I went and looked at the stock (the bucking horses and bulls) last night, at the rodeo grounds. They had slack going on, the over flow from the regular rodeo performance, it's free and not nearly as commercial. Rodeo at its basics, but we didn't get to stop. Maybe next year. The bulls are so cute, but huge. Tough looking. They kinda just stare at you, like you stare at them. Daring you to admire them, lol...I really don't think they get all that indepth in their thought patter, but its fun to imagine. As mom and I were driving through last night, I was thinking that the rodeo world needs Jesus. I think I prayed the Lord would make a way.

Weird, Different, Sad, Good
That title describes my day. Not necessarily in that order though...
This morning, I got up early and met up with mom. She was judgeing the Snake River Stampede parade (not the whlle parade, just certain age/theme groups). You can google the rodeo name if you want, Snake River Stampede. Its been a staple of Nampa history for who knows how long. Anyway, I was the "judges helper", but got to wear an official judge badge. I felt important...lol. I saw a lot of old faces, it was nice. A girl got bucked off her horse in the parking lot, just as she was stepping into her saddle a car horn went off and startled the horse. So I walked over and took him from someone who caught him and stood there holding this BEAUTIFUL tall grey handsome horse. Man, he was a beautiful creature. Poor guy, it was sweet how he came back to check on her, he just got startled. She hit the pavement pretty hard and took a while to get back up and moving around. But I saw her getting back on her horse about 10 minutes before the parade started. While I was there waiting for the parade to start, a familiar face (though i am horrible with names) came up and hugged me. There was recently a VERY sad story on the news, of a little boy that was only 10 years old, who wondered off from his uncle who was working on a broken down atv, and was found dead. The coroner ruled it death as a result of heat exhaustion. Well the woman who came up and hugged me, told me that little boy was the son of a girl I used to queen with in the rodeo world. She is understandably not doing well. I ask you to pray for her, I was told she doesn't know the Lord, and they are having to keep her pretty drugged just to keep her sain. I know when Damon died, if it hadn't been for Jesus, I would have went nuts, so I cannot even begin (nor do I want to) to imagine what it would be to go through this without the Lord as the center of your life.
After the parade (we just watched it at its start so it moved pretty fast) we went to breakfast. Then I came back to mom and dads and went swimming. Though I didn't swim much, more just read my book on the little floaty. That floaty take some talent to get onto, its not that little and likes to move. You kinda have to hop on from the ladder and hope you make it. Anyway, I put LOTS O LOTS O LOTS of sunscreen on. But I STILL got burnt. grr at the sunscreen company :) I was probably out there total today, 4ish hours. Then we had dinner, yuuuuum. Country potatoes, pancakes, and eggs from the neighbors chickens. Not so healthy, but it was yummy. Its amazing how much fresh eggs look sooo much prettier than store bought. The yokes are super golden yellow, and the whites are like STARK SNOW white. I dont know but store bought eggs look different when cooked.
Now I am at home...getting sleepy. I need to go to bed.
